Does anyone here watch Celebrity Poker with any great interest? I don't know why but for some reason I just can't stand watching it.

i think that you cant stand watching it because it is just awful. bad poker, b-list celebrities playing awfully, etc.

there is just nothing redeeming about the show whatsoever.

I watched the first season, because it was poker, and I love poker. But now that it's a 2 hour show, I just can't stomach it. It literally pains me (yes, I said literally) to watch people play so badly and hear the commentators try to justify it. It's not worth sitting through 2 hours of crap to hear Phil gordan say a total of 45 seconds of things I find useful (usualy tell related). I will hand it to Phil though - he does a far better job commenting on the celebs than Mike and Vince do. Those guy are ridiculous, getting all excited when some idiot calls 2 all in bets with his A high and they try to say he's got a read on the other guy stealing and blah blah blah. If they were honest, and commentated for what it was - terrible poker - at least it would be honest. But hearing them get so excited about such terrible play really annoys me for some reason.

The moment I stoped watching that show......

Norm McDonald vvs Micheal Ian Black heads up.

The wrong play EVERY hand, but David Copperfield's photo told him to????

The guy come across as a compelte degenerate, and I wonder how much of it is an act vs. the real thing. I mean really ... would you fold to a raise from the star of "Screwed"?

Actualy, he was a really nice guy. I was seated between him and Elvis (Celebrity/Media Event at the WSOP). He was pretty funny too.... he was only around 5 or 10 minutes though, until he "busted out" aka dumped all his chips to a guy he knew, bluffing with K high.

He's a decent player though. He actually won his seat in the main event through a satellite the night before...
