haha... you like that? I lost a bundle earlier with TT vs AA so I didn't feel the slightest bit bad. Plus, despite the bad beat, I played the hand properly, and that's what's most important. sure was an ice change of pace though!

Down to 8 players now - ITM. I'm second in chips with 1.5x the average stack. The leader and I have a nice lead. Remind me not to tangle with him.

183 hands played and counting. This is shaping up to be a pretty damn good last minute push!

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:03 AM

oh its over....i bow to TP wish i could get in a 64 person freeroll for fuckin 2000$ lol

BrianSwa 07-01-05 12:05 AM

nope

I didnt see when the money went into put, im assuming it was on flop in which case hell yea you played it right and even if it went in pre-flop with your chip lead over him I would of called also.

I expect you to get 1st, nothing less.

Talking Poker 07-01-05 12:10 AM

Well, we are past midnight now, and I think I'm the only one left in this contest. I have one spot in this tourney to go to take the $ lead in the contest.

That said, this technically is an affilaite tourney - (and no, there are not many of these at all, Brian - every few months, maybe), so maybe it shouldn't count. I didn't even think about that before. Then again, at Intertops, anyone can sign up to be an affiliate because of the sportsbook (I think), so anyone could have played in this.

I'll leave it up to you guys. I am the Admin, after all, so I probably should get a little special treatment and a break with this, but if you guys say it's not fair, then so be it.

Talking Poker 07-01-05 12:12 AM

I raised preflop and he reraised al in, but it wasn't all that much more to me. Technically I didn't have the pot odds I needed against on overpair, but if you factor in all the hands he could have made that play with, it was a no brainer call.

I expect the same. But I'm going to finish 3rd. You'll see.

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:12 AM

even if it is an affiliate thing, i dunno i guess i think u should still win. your website, you said you can make up rules when you feel like it, so your rule about mtt past midnight goes. take your prize TP.

i will assume every1 else agrees , cuz no1 wants to see ME WIN hahaha

BrianSwa 07-01-05 12:12 AM

hmmmm

its kinda a toss up here because we couldnt use PP points to play, but you are the admin and you did go from $0 to make the most. Im not in this contest so I really shouldnt have a say maybe do a poll on it would be a good idea.

i dont agree with kirk that you should make your won rules but like you said anyone could of signed up at the sportsbook to get in. The contest was to make the most money off of $25 and you did that. The way I see it anyway possible means anyway possible.

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:16 AM

well he even said in the rules he could change them in any point in time so i guess that it is fair. and he still had to make it that far.

BrianSwa 07-01-05 12:19 AM

Ok

TP is a fair guy he always has been and when he said change the rules im sure he didnt mean change them to favor him. He is leaving up to the people in the contest which again is very fair so let them decide im out so I dont vote but the 5-6 that are still in should discuss this....which includes you.

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:21 AM

well of course i want to win but i mean he said that anybody still around could join a MTT , that doesnt mean any were availiable tho, so i dunno.

Talking Poker 07-01-05 12:33 AM

I only mentioned that because I hadn't thought of that ahead of time. Of course that would be the case though. As soon as you buy in to a tourney, you are in. Say you were in a huge tourney, ITM, and far enough up that you would win the contest with easy. should you really have to bust yourself out at 11:59 PM to end your session? Of course not.

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:34 AM

i didnt complain about that rule....i said i thought it was ok.

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:36 AM

one thing i wanna know tho TP, after seeing my hand histories and my cashier pic and shit, can you at least tell every1 im legit and didnt just bs this?

Talking Poker 07-01-05 12:37 AM

Ending Session 9
Finished 3rd in the freeroll (just like I predicted): $280.70
Session Hands: 233
Current Bankroll: $280.70
Total Hands Played: 1130

I lost with my QQ vs AK, btw. I tried to play it sneaky, but it wouldn't have mattered how I played it (he tried to be sneaky too). All those chips were gong in the middle, no matter what.

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:44 AM

we could also take into effect that you did bust out once, although im not sure how that would help considering you still had more money in the end

Talking Poker 07-01-05 12:47 AM

Yes. Well, close enough. Your math was off (cents). And I have no way of knowing what really happened to you at Table 54959. When you left it, you had $23.80. You didn't post what you at down with. I'm assuming $15, but you logged what looks like a *really* big gain for that session. In your mid-session update, you say you were at $103.43 and 333 hands played. The previous post, you were at $70.53 and 299 hands played. But then the next post, you saud you only played 78 hands at that table (you didn't post your total), and were up to $107.

I honestly don't see how all that could add up. Had your done your record keeping as required, this wouldn't have been a problem, but right now, it's kind of a mess.

What I do know is that you say you went from $103.43 to $134.65 between hands 333 and 451. I can verify that you won $8.30 + $27.03 = $35.33 in your last 100 hands, so that sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

So, in summary, yes, I believe you. Impressive final day of the contest. I certainly would have never expected this finish......

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:48 AM

neither would i, and congrats lol

Talking Poker 07-01-05 12:53 AM

This has all been discussed already. The winner was supposed to be the person who cleared $500 in the fewest hands. If that didn't happen, we needed to decided if the winner should be:
1. The person who lasted the most hands before busting out (Sir).
2. The person with the highest bankroll at the end.

After some discussion, we decided as a group it would be the latter. Which just so happens to be.... me :D

kkirk1329 07-01-05 12:56 AM

which is why i said congrats lol
