Alright, scare is over and poll is officially over. If Mayhem will go through all this for moneybookers, I am sure it's the best one out of the two.

This also affected my decision to choose moneybookers.

MAYHEM45 04-18-07 07:37 PM

The only thing that sucks is the relatively low limits per 90 day period moneybookers has, but I'll gladly trade that for ridiculous fees. the only fees moneybookers has is about 2 bucks to cashout via EFT, which is nothing compared to 50 bucks, lol.

bunny 04-18-07 08:07 PM

Mayhem - What currency is best to use with moneybookers? (I had Neteller set to USD)

MAYHEM45 04-18-07 08:13 PM

I stuck to USD, otherwise ur biting the exchange on each transfer to and from poker sites. When you keep it in USD the only time you get hit with exchange is cashing out to your bank account.

pre paid via (for deposits)

virtual visa at walgreens should work

keep it low key on the dl:thumbsup:

Reel Deal 04-18-07 08:48 PM

That made me LOL.

Ando05 04-18-07 08:53 PM

im using epassporte right now and ya it is a ripoff, so if full tilt can offer moneybooker, i'll defently use that

bunny 04-18-07 09:57 PM

Problems, problems...

(Accounts must be held at the same branch and be in the same currency)

My bank will not allow this type of transfer. *merde*

Weird way to deposit on moneybookers. I truly am starting to miss Neteller now. :(

MAYHEM45 04-18-07 10:01 PM

You cant do it through online banking. Print out the transfer details and bring them to the teller at your bank.

I havent deposited into Moneybookers, and probably never will though, so take that FWIW. The eft cashout to my bank account took 3 days though. You need to call and ask your bank for their SWIFT code to set that up though.

All in all it appears everything besides neteller is a huge pain in the ass. I miss neteller so much :(. Moneybookers is the best option of them all right now tho.

stormswa 04-18-07 10:06 PM

yep

not for long, the visa companies are finding out that this is going towards gambling and are telling the sites they have to stop that. Visa dosent like to be associated with gambling so its only a matter of time till this option is gone all together.

someone didnt keep it on the DL obviously.

bunny 04-18-07 11:14 PM

Seems too much trouble to deposit into Moneybookers through my bank & probably not a good idea to give my bank account details to an online transmitting service, I am not too familiar with.

I think I will use my credit card to fund my moneybookers account. It is instant and safer to use. Thank you for the eft cashout info, I will be needing it when/if I cash out at some point.

stormswa 04-18-07 11:16 PM

wont most sites just send you a check if you like when you cash out?

most sites I have played have this option if you like

bunny 04-19-07 12:02 AM

Takes 7 - 10 days for a check cashout. EPT is quicker, only 3 days.

Talking Poker 04-19-07 01:15 AM

A question and a comment:

1. Why is this in Off Topic? I'll move it.

2. After reading the 2p2 thread, my hunch is that StarsBuddy is clean. IF, however, it is not and does have a keylogger attached to it, uninstalling it isn't enough - your account may have already been compromised. So for anyone who has used it, be smart - change your Stars password immediately.

MAYHEM45 04-19-07 03:15 PM

Got the new update today. Moneybookers works awesome.

stormswa 04-19-07 03:32 PM

wow

I actully had a moneybookers account and didnt know it maybe I will try this out.

seems like I can not use my bank account for some weird reason, will try it with my debit card.

debit card seems to work fine and the fee of 1.65% seems fair.

Reel Deal 04-19-07 04:31 PM

Moneybookers takes U.S. customers?

stormswa 04-19-07 04:47 PM

I dont see why not, they registered my bank account with no problems. Remember also that I'm not a new customer, signed up awhile ago and just now got around to verifying everything.

Reel Deal 04-19-07 05:10 PM

Wierd... Absolute doesn't seem to think they work with U.S. customers.

MAYHEM45 04-19-07 05:13 PM

Absolute and UB are fucking retarded. They did the same thing to me. They let me deposit 500, but wouldnt let me cash it out. fuck those sites.

bunny 04-19-07 05:15 PM

You shouldn't be having any problems, since you're Canadian.

stormswa 04-19-07 05:27 PM

well

no idea why, havent tried depositing yet and wont for couple weeks but when I do I will let you know but from what I see I dont think I will be having a problem.

Talking Poker 04-19-07 07:12 PM

I see their site has a whole bunch of flags on the main page - not including the U.S. flag. They also have some ad for a referral bonus or something where they pay you however many EUROS. This almost always means "No U.S. Customers," but when you click on their Join form, one of the location options is USA, and you can deal in US$. Hmmmmmm...

I haven't looked at it any farther than that.

Edit: OK, just found which certainly makes it look like Americans can't "Upload Funds."

stormswa 04-19-07 07:57 PM

I think and dont quote me on this.

you can upload through credit or debit cards but cant through bank accounts but when you want to withdraw you can to your bank account.

now this is a theroy from browsing through my account because it wont let me load through bank account but withdrawing to it seems to be no problem. Where credit or debit card seems no problem loading, again im just kinda guessing here.

stormswa 04-19-07 08:03 PM

Wait

I just noticed this at bottom when I went to upload...

It is Moneybookers' policy NOT to allow residents of the United States of America to make payments to gambling/casino/poker merchants. If you make this deposit, the funds will only be available for NON-GAMING purposes.

oh well....
