Caughlin a coach that basically had to beg for his job last year, and a really good guy from what i have read

I don't know where you read that about Coughlin. Everything I've read says he's universally hated by his players. In fact, it was the players who wanted him out at the end of last season, and he was one of the reasons Tiki Barber retired.

As for Belichick, well, he's never been known for his people skills.

TC was not a big fan favorite when he was here in Jax. I have a friend who went to a road game once in Pittsburgh, ran into Coughlin in the elevator of the team hotel, said "good luck tomorrow coach" and he basically ignored them. So, his people skills are on about the same level as Belichick.
