Someone posted the MySpace link on another poker forum a few days ago.

It said "16" and had the graduation date of a wouldbe 17~ yo. A few hours after the thread was started, people noticed that some of the information was taken down and some changed.

*shrug*

as in the previous case, kudos to party and just wondering if stars might do some investigating too?

methinks not...too large of a bubble just might burst in the process and no amount of raymer and hachem commercials will be able to fix that.

BrianSwa 02-25-06 10:34 AM

ok

dont laugh at me it wasnt my money they took, I check Justin's website because he is a better player then me and hopes to maybe improve myself. I dont follow him around like others but think what you will shabi.

As for him getting caught GOOD im glad they caught a cheater.

Talking Poker 02-26-06 01:57 PM

Wow.... this is really something.

Amazing how stupid some of these kid geniuses are, isn't it? Well, maybe stupid isn't the word. I think "greedy" is probably a better one.

Glad to see Party finally cracking down. I know some people think this will lead to an increase in cheating somehow (see bunny's post from a few days ago), but I maintain that this will DETER cheating in the future... it will certainly slow it down if nothing else.

After all the JJProdigy hoopla, I can't believe ZJ (who is VERY bright and one hell of a player, I might add), wouldn't close all his fake accounts immediately, but rather continued to violate Party's Terms and Conditions.

When all is ssaid and done, he's lost all the money in all of those accounts, including his PPM Cruise Entry, and he's not allowed to play on Party ever again - MTTs, SNGs, Cash games... nada. Talk about -EV.

CardSharp 02-26-06 02:39 PM

"Talk about -EV." -Nicely put.

From Lee Jones (Pokerstars Manager)

Hi folks -

We did our own review of ZeeJustin and unfortunately, found that he'd been playing multiple accounts in several tournaments at PokerStars.

* We confiscated the money that he won illicitly.

* We closed his accounts and banned him from PokerStars.

* We are returning the money he won illicitly to players who were harmed by his actions in those same tournaments.

Obviously, we don't like doing this, but the evidence was incontrovertible. We will do whatever it takes to keep our games and tournaments clean.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

PokerStars Poker Room Manager

Holy crap. Where was that posted? 2+2?

ZJ seems like a good guy, for the most part, so this statement is nothing personal against him.... but.....

I'm glad to see the poker sites are (finally) cracking down on the cheaters. This whole thing is just crazy.

JD - I know you never play them at the same time (I don't think you even use the old account any more), but if I were you, I would contact Stars and have them close your old account. Just to be safe.

Actually, as I recall, that account was your Dad's, maybe, so hopefully you have nothing to worry about.

JDMcNugent7 02-26-06 04:15 PM

I did contact them, they were cool with it - since i never have / never will play them both at once.
I told them they could close the old one but they said its fine - as long as they remain to never be on at the same time.

Talking Poker 02-26-06 04:23 PM

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

What I find strange about these latest findings on PP and PS is that they found out and did something about these players after big wins, I can recall rejoining Pstars a couple of years ago after being fed up with my username and wanting to change it.

Within a couple of hours Pstars e-mailed me telling me to stop using my new set up account, I like Pstars but I feel they have a huge list of players with multipull accounts and are waiting to collect from these players but only when it suits them.

I like whats happening and know its for the good of online poker, but even I know that this has been going on for a long time online and with the rewards raising all the time players colluding is always going to happen.

I have heard a ring of players in the uk upto 20 of them that enter big games either tournies or cash and comunicate by confference call at 5p an hour the phone lines are always connected and the single cash player doesnt stand a chance against these type of players.

I feel we are going to hear more players banned and very soon.

BDMK 02-26-06 10:35 PM

kudos to stars too!

i stand corrected and happily so. :)

GTDawg 02-27-06 09:29 AM

ZJ posted a response on pocket5

The logic with which he explains away what he did and how Party is the one doing him wrong is astounding.

Talking Poker 02-27-06 11:44 AM

Is it any different than the link bunny posted to his response on 2+2? Or just the same thing?

I'll be intersted to see what he has to say about Stars shutting him down too.

GTDawg 02-27-06 12:06 PM

Same thing

BDMK 02-27-06 08:44 PM

'denial' is not just a river in egypt, as the saying goes... :D

johnp158 02-27-06 09:46 PM

I never saw a source on the stars banning. JD? I looked at some other sites and couldn't find anything.

PShabi 02-27-06 09:47 PM

It's in the main thread that's linked up above on 2+2. Lee responded.

eejit101 02-27-06 10:28 PM

God these people are thick. Well, maybe clever in some minds, but if they are not thick, they are greedy. They have a huge bankroll. Justins been playing in the EPT, i saw him (im assuming he is "Justin Bonomo"? 18 years old, looks similar enough).

WHy do it? all good players who make money from poker dont feel the need to enter a tourney 5 times.

If only all sites were goverend by the same people, then robbing bastards wouldnt try and take money, jackasses

bunny 02-28-06 01:24 PM

JJ not JD.

PShabi 02-28-06 01:30 PM

LOL. He was asking JD for the source or a link, not implicating him.

bunny 02-28-06 01:46 PM

Blonde moment. Happens.
