I wouldn't take that as gospel for a couple reasons:
1) There are alternates constantly joining. Some numbers bantered about have been 200-250/day for alternates. They are actually running satellites to get a spot on the alternate list!
2) Yesterday they had the exact same 2182 number only it was 2182/2000. Yes 2,000 - not 2200...

Oh, and Mark's up to 9375!

Two updates:

First: Dealt AA again. Only picked up the blinds. "Whoopie"

Second: Lost a big pot with AKs. Won blinds with AA again.

Okay. Found out why we've been suffering from a dirth of updates. Apparently Mark got his hand slapped for using his phone to text me. He's on dinner break right now (as they all are) and is currently sitting at 16,000 chips.

He says lots of interesting hands.

I was wondering whether that was going to be an issue... I assumed it might because you could have someone on the rail TMing you if they caught a peek of someone's hole cards at your table. Too bad, I guess the updates will have to come from CP... who have TP at 6,000. :rolleyes:

I mentioned to Mark that they had him at 5300 and he says "They lie. I was never below 7300" so, as good of a job as they do, it's not always accurate.

I also find it hard to believe that Deeb is @ 1M. That would be 100 players he's knocked out personally (or the equivalent of).

Yeah, that chip count for Deeb is clearly wrong. PW has DN out in front with 41,000... that sounds much more realistic.

I can't even find any reference to Deeb in the chip counts at either CP or PW...

Yep, that seems pretty accurate now. Of course the +10,600 they list isn't accurate but at least they finally got the chip count right. (for now)

correct. He's sending me text messages when he can kinda sneak them in. He got his wrist slapped earlier for texting me. So now I think he's just quickly sending the chip counts so he doesn't get in trouble but he keeps us updated.

I'm hoping that he's keeping a notebook of key hands and will update once play ends for the day.

The day ones of the main event finish each day after 3 a.m. and players are using anything to keep them awake and on top of their game so they can survive to Day 2.



that was last live update seems pretty up to date. seems like there just not updating chip stacks but the live updates they are lol duh brian.

In middle position, Daniel Negreanu makes it $800 to go. An opponent behind him then pumps it to $1,900. Negreanu calls. The flop comes 8J10 and Negreanu checks to his opponent who fires $2,200 at the pot. Negreanu then re-raises to $5,500 where upon his opponent moves all-in for a few thousand more. Negreanu calls and turns up Q9 for the nuts while his opponent shows A9. The turn and river fail to improve Negreanu's opponent. Negreanu now sits with $54,000.

Dude. It's not whether Cardplayer is updating in a timely manner. It's whether they've even looked at his chipstack in the last 2 hours. They do a good job with the resources but you definitely shouldn't trust a number that hasn't changed for that long.

as of now cardplayer says MARK PETRILLO is down to 8,300

he is down to 8,300, blinds now are at 150 - 300 with 25 ante's... to be honest there is no room for panic yet, i know skillwise he is very capable and blinds are not outraeous yet he still has around 25X BB.

hopefully that chipcount posted by cardplayer is not correct, as confirmed by TP before they can be wrong.

Apparently there's a "Mike" Petrillo sitting fourth in chipstack right now.
