Ludovic Lachance Eliminated

The early bustouts have come in bunches, with Jimmy Sommerfeld calling each player's elimination out over the PA system. Ludovic Lachance is the next player down. He was all in preflop for about 300,000 with 8d 8s and called by Wesley Ismay, who showed down Qd Qh. Lachance never improved.

Zybomb 07-13-09 06:55 PM

LOL at one of the responses to a comment of why there arent more pro updates

"They aren't updating on the pros as much because they're not the ones donking off 25+ BBs preflop with KQo. God dang you'd think these guys were playing a pokerstars turbo at the rate they're busting."

LMAO

Danny Smith Heads for the Cage

Wesley Ismay is one of the players who has chips to burn. Calling 153,000 preflop to try to take out Danny Smith was hardly a drop in the bucket for Ismay. He made that call with {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts} against Smith's {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}. A pair of jacks was enough to take down the pot on a board of {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {J-Spades} {6-Hearts}.

what a fish.

MAYHEM45 07-13-09 08:45 PM

Double Elimination of Both Cloutier and Luht

Some crazy action just went down over on one of the tables between Joe Luht, Eric Cloutier, and Wesley Ismay.

The flop was 10:c: 5:c: 2:c: when all the money went in. Luht held top pair with A? 10?, but was way behind both of his opponents with flopped flushes. Cloutier flopped the flush with J:c: 8:c: and Ismay flopped the flush with K:c: 9:c:.

The turn brought the 6:s: and the river the 10:h:. Ismay's flush was good enough to win the hand and eliminate both Cloutier and Luht.

:cheers::cheers:

Esfandiari Can't Get a Tell

There were about 450,000 chips in the pot by the turn. Antonio Esfandiari was out of position for a tangle with Wesley Ismay. Esfandiari checked the 2:d: 4:h: A:c: board, drawing a bet of 350,000 from Ismay. There wasn't much hesitation in Esfandiari's call.

The river was another ace, the A:h:. Again Esfandiari checked and this time Ismay fired out 575,000. Esfandiari quickly cut 575,000 out of his own stack and moved as if he was going to put it in the middle -- but instead kept it behind his cards and observed Ismay. For his part, Ismay was just staring at a spot on the felt.

A minute went by. Esfandiari sighed and said, "I guess I don't have a choice," and again faked moving his call into the middle. There was still no reaction from Ismay.

"Do you want me to call?" Esfandiari asked Ismay. No response. After another minute, Esfandiari folded his hand. He remains in contention with 2.225 million chips. Ismay is up to 3.65 million.

The Magician Chips Down

Just after winning a decently sized pot off of Wesley Ismay, Antonio Esfandiari was brawling with Ismay again.

This time the pot was going to be even bigger.

Esfandiari had raised preflop and had been reraised by Ismay. The two saw a 4s 2d 4h flop. Ismay fired out 125,000 and Esfandiari quicky called.

On the Ac turn Esfandiari called 350,000 almost as quickly. The river was the Ah and Ismay brought out the big guns with a bet of 575,000.

PWNED

Esfandiari counted out the call and went into the tank. Several times during the five minutes of deliberation Esfandiari faked tossing in the chips before returning them safely to his stack. The camera crew stood around filming until The Magician tossed his cards into the muck.
