Tonight will be my first ever PLO8 tourney. Feel free to come take my money and make fun of me when I make really stupid plays. :o
|
wellll
so why would tonight be different then any other night when you play in league events? :p |
Because tonight, I MAY be less dominant than usual. Then again, you never know with Rogue23 - I'll probably still take it down. :)
|
2 users registered. wtf.
This used to be my only game for about a year before I grew balls and learned holdem. |
I'm in for this one. I doubt I will be stealing points this time though seeing as I know I'm a donkey at this game.
|
I am registered. Now lets see if I can actually remember to play.
|
i am in.
Wtf does PLO8 mean? Sad thing is, this is my first EVER cash/live/tourney of PLO8, ive never even watched it. |

i will quite happily accept all donkey calls here, as i had no fucking idea where i was.
But that hand i had open ended str8 draw, and flush draw. I figured i had lots of outs:rolleyes: |
well
in omaha low flush draws are never that great, unlike holdem there is a good chance someone else has a higher flush draw then you. So in this case seeing as you were calling a allin I could see a strong case for folding here and waiting for better spot. with i think 5 in pot I might run the mediocore hand like yours but with that much action on flop I would most likley be laying down. edit: just noticed you pushed all in, ok now really dont like how it was played. with that many people in pot I might of called TP's 225 but no way am I pushing on a draw that might not even be the best draw. I mean you still had people to act behind you also, of course not thrilled with TP's all in call on bottom set either. Think the hand was just really poorly played all around. Just my 2 cents. |

I had a Queen too. And it was eejit, for God's sake. He loves throwing all his chips in the middle. I think me folding there would have been a HUGE mistake. I mean, you wouldn't seriously fold there, would you?

Pretty much a coinflip. Don't they look much different in Omaha than in HE? Set and top pair is only has a 2% equity bump here. IMO, this is a great flop but with the multi[ple straight and flush draws you are actually needing to dodge a lot of cards with two to come. Now, if you had the QT of clubs.....then you should be instacalling.
|
I don't really consider 3:2 a coinflip.... factor in pot odds and my opponent being eejit (I saw he luckboxed through the entire tourney last night), and I think this is a clear instacall.
Edit: Looking more closely, I guess I forgot about the chance of eejit making a low. He'd need running low cards, but still, that helps. |
I wanted to play, but had an open bar engagement.
Having saw the hand, TP, you should've folded pre-flop, especially after the 80 chip raise. You had no low draw possibility. eejit, you played the hand ok. However, probably should've folded post-flop, instead of pushing. Your flush draw is weak and so technically, have to be thinking you only had 6 outs, the 5s and 10s to complete your str8 that weren't clubs. Also, you only flopped 1 low card, so needed runner-runner to have a decent chance of catching that end of it. Curious to know what Fungus had. Also - What does stop raising mean? It is an assumption by most donkey O8 guys that you shouldn't raise pre-flop, and it is a terrible mistake many O8ers make. Eejit, short-handed with your hand, you should've been the one pushing in as much as you could pre-flop here. |
Your forgetting one thing. I had no idea wtf i was doing till we were 2 handed. Then i knew what i was doing 15% of the time. I wqas happy to even not come last. So... i dont care what you say. Me = omaha donkey |
SURE~;)

You're exactly right. Somehow, way too many points (119) were given out here. Blib?

You are the second luckiest person I know. bdawg has met the luckiest.
Actually, come to think of it, I think you are the luckiest. When you factor in overall doucheness - in other words, deservingness of said luck - I think you take the lead easily. :) |
when did i get lucky that entire game?
theres 1 instance, the A6spades vs your 55 lasthand. It dont matter what order the cards come out, its after all 5:) And i was what, 2% behind you? |
You're so lucky, you don't even see it. It's all the little things too... like when I know you're weak, so I fire at the river which just so happened to hit you and you call and show down a winner... and then it happens again a couple of hands later.
I wasn't talking about just this tourney, btw... just talking in general. |
Eh????? And yeah, you had like 6 9, i had 9 10, we both limped, checked it down, river is a T, not much i can do when you check the flop and the turn. If u r gonna whinge, at least whinge about something serious! screw it, ill post all the HU HHs and we can decide:) |
I'm not "whinging" - whatever the hell that is. I simply made a statement. And like I said - despite the typo - I'm not just talking about our Heads Up match tonight or tonight event or even the entire league or even your $65k miracle... I'm just talking in general. You're a lucky guy. If you don't see it, that's fine. I don't really care one way or the other. But you're lucky, and I think you should appreciate it.
FWIW, I'm generally a semi-lucky guy too.... not necessarily in poker, but in life. I'm certainly not crazy lucky, but I'm not crazy unlucky either. I do ok. I'm done cluttering this thread with talking about you now, so if you want to continue, go make a new thred somewhere else. Luckbox. |
lol, done! post there all u wish.
Back to the point Eejit101 = number 1! |
Come on now, TP. You wouldn't have +repped him back to life because of a miracle would you? Admit it.
Eejit101 = #1!!!!!! |
got about 11 +reps there, all the big guys! Cant i get +rep for a miracle?
|
11 huh? C'mon, you don't count your rep!
|

God, I'm tempted.

I'm going to take partial blame for this. No real sense in pushing A9s against a button raise from someone who can't fold a middle pair against one of the only 2 people at the table whose stack can hurt him.
|
no, i just didnt put u on a hand that had me monstered. My raise looked like a BB steal, you pushed over for everything, from what ive seen of you play the big pairs/AKs before, you dont do that with that hand. So from there i had u on a low pair, or Ax (s). Ill bet a few people dont believe me.
And if i call you, i was 95% certain i was racing, and i was getting way over the odds of 50% to call |
7 card stud tonight - only 2 of us registered so far.
Friendly reminder. |
I am in. Impressed with myself for makin a mid week event. Normally I don't remember about them till Thursday or Friday night.
