I dont know how to document

I lost about $20 right before work yesturday playing 5 card draw, I was kinda mad that I lost this so didnt document it here.

well I gained most of it back today plus cleared $10 in bonus so not sure how to document it here. This has got to go on the trust factor since I never said I was playing so dont know if you believe me or not.

my bankroll is 176.12 and ive played a total of about 150 hands from yesturday draw game and this morning games to get the money back. So you can either believe me or I will start back at $100 when I get $24 more dollars your all choice.

right now im sitting at samos with $51 which is a $25 NL table if you like to look.

You need to start playing by the rules. In order for a session to count, you have to post here when you start it. Otherwise, whether you win or lose, it doesn't count towards the contest. So, IMO, neither of those two secret sessions of yours should count.

I really don't feel like digging through all of your posts to figure out what your bankroll is, but again, only sessions you posted when you started and stopped count. And you should make a new post for each instead of editing the old one.

The rules are pretty simple. Just follow them.

GeoffM 07-05-05 10:54 AM

Leave that part to Blibbity :p.

BrianSwa 07-05-05 10:57 AM

I know

thats why I posted it so you could determine where I stand in it, dosent matter to me either way seriously. As far as im concerned I could be disqualified im more intereted in building this to 1k for my own benifiet not to win a contest.

You can put me back to $100 or whatever you wish.

I'm not putting you anywhere. You are going to go through the posts you made in this thread and figure out what your bankroll is. Logging sessions retroactively don't count. Only the ones you logged here while you were playing them.

BrianSwa 07-05-05 11:08 AM

ok

not trying to be a baby or anything but just not worth it to me, I think the contest you hold here are awsome and I have been spamming about them constantly to everyone I meet. Just not interested in winning this one at all, so good luck to anyone else still in it.

Like I said im doing this for me, to prove to myself I can stay within my bankroll and make the 1k

Talking Poker 07-05-05 11:26 AM

Fair enough. No need for you to post in this thread any more then. It's cluttered up enough.

BB - just remove Brian from the spreadsheet, since having to follow the rules like everyone else isn't "worth it" to him.

BrianSwa 07-05-05 11:39 AM

ok

TP,
Thats fine I wont post in here anymore, Im not mad or anything so why give me attitude? I messed up on documenting my hands so yes I should be removed, I agree. I gave KKirk a hard time about documenting his hands right and I did same thing so again I agree remove me. But there is absolutley no need for the smart comments.

also never said the contest wasnt worth it just saying going back through 50 posts to try to figure out where I'am isnt. Your contests are all great TP and im sure everyone appriiates them.

BlibbityBlabbity 07-05-05 12:03 PM

Yeah, none of this counts since it wasn't posted prior to playing. If you could post stuff like that people could play and only ost their winning sessions, which while nice, isn't what this is about.

Prior to this post (the one I quoted) you had $142.87 with 1345 hands played....

Again, since you waited till you were up 100%+ from your buyin before mentioning it, this really should not count either. As with the game in general, you take the chance of going up or down in a session....
Before this your contest bankroll was $142.87, so winning +$2 you have $144.87 with 1370 hands played.
Other than the "about $27" the way you documented this session was ok.
Won: $25.60 + $15.50 = $41.10
New bankroll: $144.87 with 1463 hands played

That is where you start from here. Regardless of how much money you have in one site, many sites, or online in general, this is your CONTEST bankroll. There is no need for "reserve"s, just wins, losses, and hands played to add, subtract from your contest bankroll.

So, when ending a session the MINIMUM amount of info is:

Ending Session #
Won/Loss: +/-$00.00
Hands played in session: ##

If you want to keep your own running totals that is fine (some do/some don't)

And the session needs to be documented before (or as you are STARTING) it.

BlibbityBlabbity 07-05-05 12:30 PM

Brian, you are up $40+ in the contest right now, why quit.... if you don't want to do it fine, no biggie....

Post a quick note before you sit down in each type of game, then make sure you keep the total won/lost and hands played for each type of game in the session.

As long as it is posted ahead of time and I have a total won/loss and hands #, I can keep the running bankroll on the leaderboard.

Keep it simple....

GeoffM 07-05-05 12:30 PM

Not to be a pest, but...

Blibbity, when can we expect a pretty little spreadsheet (which by the way I think is very sexy of you ;))

BlibbityBlabbity 07-05-05 12:32 PM

Keep those thumbs twiddlin', I'm just getting back from some holiday travels, so I'll be on it soon.... ;)

Up now...

Talking Poker 07-05-05 02:00 PM

I wasn't giving you a hard time at all. Just saying that it is each player's responsibilit yot track their progress. If you even remotely followed the guidelines, it owuld be easy. You'd scroll up to see your "current bankroll" and would be good to go. Any session you played since that (that you posted about while you were playing them), you would add into your current bankroll. By keeping a running tally (again, as per the rules), it's quite simple.

If that's too much trouble for you and you need me to figure out whare you're at, yes, I will gladly say to remove you from the contest. Cause if I do it for you, I need to do it for everyone, and that would be a nightmare.

So, everyone: Follow the rules and keep track of your own bankrolls... Period.

Talking Poker 07-05-05 02:04 PM

Very well said. This was al I expected Brian to do for himself. I wasn't going to do it, but if you are willing to do it for him, so be it.

I REALLY think people should have to keep track of their total bankrolls though. It's just simple addition (or subtraction) at the end of each session. You know what you started with. You know what you sat down with, You know what you end with. Put that all together and you know where you are at now...... and therefore where you will be starting the next session. Pretty easy.

GeoffM 07-05-05 02:07 PM

What if you are drunk out of your mind or smoked some serious purple hair before the session?

BlibbityBlabbity 07-05-05 02:15 PM

ONCE....and it looks like it was time wasted anyway since he requested to be off the list and out of the contest....
It is MUCH easier if players put the "Total Bankroll:...., Total Hands played:##" at the end of their "ending session" post, since then I just put those totals over to the leaderboard (NO MATH :p ) unless something looks out of whack.

The win/loss and hands played for the session is key though or things just get wacky

BlibbityBlabbity 07-05-05 02:16 PM

Then I will probably have to pull up the calculator anyway to try to figure out how $100+ $20 = $346.82 :D
