I wouldn't say I get particularly "excited" about them (it's not like watching shabi sing Hollaback Girl or anything), but they are quite a sight, even during the day. The beaches are full of people for miles and miles in each direction, and traffic on the causeways comes to a complete stop, with thousands and thousands of people parked on the sides of the road.

The rocket launches are cool, but the shuttle launches are truly awesome. And I mean that in the true definition of the word...
