Donkament Diary

I've been running and playing pretty badly in NL cash games, so I'm playing exclusively HU SNGs for the next couple of weeks as a change of pace.

I'm trying to play 20 HU $110+5 Turbo SNGs per day.

Next week I'll play $220+10s.

Day 1
19 / 29

eejit101 03-12-07 10:09 AM

wish i had your FPPs:(

sjay2k 03-12-07 11:28 AM

Eh, didn't play enough today, but still averaging 20 per day.

Day 2
10/14

sjay2k 03-12-07 11:35 AM

As for FPPs, i only have about 84k on FTP. i want to upgrade to a 24" monitor, for which i'll have to earn another 100k FPPs.

also sharkscope says i'm a shark now hahaha SNG players are so badddd

eejit101 03-12-07 12:01 PM

i got halfway to supernova on stars last year, but as i havent played this year i have got about 1k so far. FTP i dont play, except to give TP $1.1k being drunk.

Nice going with the HU btw, good average cash there

Talking Poker 03-12-07 12:53 PM

What do the numbers you are posting represent? Cashes/#Played?

I've been running shittier than shit as well.... maybe I should take a similar break one of these days.

PShabi 03-12-07 08:20 PM

They're HU SNGs, so I was assuming won/played.

Talking Poker 03-12-07 11:58 PM

Don't mind me. Missed the whole HU part.

Now I'm even more interested, as I ran a similar experiment a while back, but never finished my 100.

Day 3
8/10

Tomorrow will be a big day I promise!

sjay2k 03-13-07 02:22 PM

yah

Reel Deal 03-13-07 02:32 PM

Damn, nearly a 70% winning percentage through 53 of these... you go girl!!

sjay2k 03-15-07 12:17 AM

Day 4
9/16

FTP crashed during my last SNG when I had a 4:1 chiplead and i only got a refund wtf so rigged

sjay2k 03-15-07 06:44 AM

el oh el donkaments

SNGs are so funny because the players are unbelievably bad and love to trash talk for no apparent reason. they're all so happy and hyped up. it reminds me of the time in primary school when the four Special Ed. students in our class were eating raw sugar and then began acting manic and fighting each other.

sjay2k 03-15-07 09:37 AM

Played very badly today but at least I got a lot of games played. Nearly back to 20/day average. Also I've started playing $110 omaha hi/lo limit SNGs. I don't really know what I'm doing but it's lots of fun (like sex rofl)

Day 5
16/29

drewjax 03-15-07 11:29 AM

If you are keeping track, can you post a running ROI with your daily results?

GL

Reel Deal 03-15-07 11:48 AM

I can't stop laughing at this...

Talking Poker 03-15-07 12:21 PM

I actually liked the sex joke better...

sjay - Running totals would be cool. Also, how many of these are you playing at once, and if you are multitabling, do you find that it affects your ROI, or is it too soon to tell?

Reel Deal 03-15-07 01:38 PM

I probably would have too... if I knew what sex was.

sjay2k 03-15-07 01:42 PM

wacky game

sjay2k 03-16-07 12:23 AM

that guy won like 5/6 SNGs against me. AA < AK preflop, AK < A2 preflop and 5h3h < A9 allin on a Ah-2h-4s flop. he was extolling his brilliance in chat the whole time, which tilted me to no end

Day 6
41/72

I'll post the stats when I'm finished, too much effort at the moment.

I've generally been playing three at once, but was four-tabling today. It's a little hectic when it's against four different opponents though.

sjay2k 03-16-07 04:25 AM

i played very badly again today. i took too many thin situations against awful opponents. eg. here. curse my cash game ideas.

You should really give a whirl. You just might like it.

Also, is the 41/72 above your running total, or did you just play an assload of these things yesterday?

sjay2k 03-16-07 09:57 AM

41/72 was just yesterday (4-tabling for maybe 5 hrs).

also i prefer the look of FTP's HHs rather than the multi-coloured converted ones.

Talking Poker 03-16-07 10:15 AM

The red HERO really gets you, does it???

You should post your running total with your daily stats too.

sjay2k 03-17-07 03:12 AM

Day 7
19/33 (including 1x $220 and 1x $550, both wins)

End of week 1...

Running total: 121/202
Profit: $3890 + $275 rb = $4165

Not sure if I'll do this again this week

Boobie Lover 03-17-07 03:46 AM

do you use sharkscope at all before sitting down for a hu match?

sjay2k 03-17-07 10:44 AM

Nah. But i did a FTP search for the guy who was sitting in the $550 HU SNG lobby and he was also playing $10 and $220 SNGs, so i assumed he was a fish gambling with his last $800 or so.
