Slick bastards also combined their tourney entry and fee into one number. So most people won't even realize they're being juiced!

Just in time for my triumphant return to SNGs. Even though it will be a completely different game, and will take some relearning how to play optimally, I really welcome these changes.

EDIT: Well fuck, they changed the SNGs to a time based format, thats a huge bummer, unless they also introduce turbos down the line. I dont wanna be playing for an hour and a half when these used to take 40 minutes, tops.

EDIT2: I gotta stop posting before I read everything. They will have speed SNGs it looks like. woohoo. carry on.

I want a nice starting stack when I'm playing a forum tourney, or a bigger MTT. If I'm up against stiff competition, I like a deep stack.

But, that's what I thought was so great about Party's SNGs before. There were easy to win if you adjusted your strategy correctly. The players suck my left nut, and they were over quicker, thus increasing your hourly earn.

I just read something that indicates 5/10 LHE, 6-max, BAD BEAT tables have been added. If someone is around when this gets back up, could you verify this for a brother at work?

Thats cool the new changes look nice, I really like the new way you can set up your tables like tileing or however u spell it and stuff. For someone like me that has to have the tables overlap its real nice. Looking forward to this.

Agreed Pshab. But thats where the new turbo SNGs come in. And I also noticed the beginning blind level is now 20/40 instead of 10/15, so it shouldnt be too much different than before.

I'll give a few a test run tonite.

I applaud party for their upgrades, but one thing sucks big fucking dick for me.

The new software does not suppport "observed hand histories." Before, I could open 10 tables, start importing through PT, and turn on my Poker Ace. I go have a smoke, take a shizit, or what have you, and when I come back, I've got 30 hands worth of stats on my players. Then I just join the waitlists and wait for great seats to open up. Fishies to the right, Shabis to the left. Simple.

This is not going to be possible any more. Even if you have stats on a player, you aren't going to get PA to read them until you've actually played a hand at the table.

I'm absolutely positive that selecting tables in the manner described above had more than a minimal affect on my winrate. I'm not happy about this new development.

I'll be leaving work early today and hitting the tables hard this afternoon.

Quick rake question: At the BBJ tables, they rake 50 cents extra, right? When does this occur? When the pot reaches what amount?

I'm just wondering if the RBCalc program handles the bbj tables smoothly or if I'd manually have to figure that shit out.

If they rake the .50 every hand, it'd be easy to calculate. I don't think that's the case though.

Anytime they rake a hand they drop .50 or at least they used to. I wonder how the rake will look on the new 25 No limit Bad Beat tables where it's frequently raked .10 doesn't really seem fair to drop .60 on a $2 pot

at this point DO NOT play in any game at Party where you stand a chance of being moved to a different table.

Nikki & I are playing for fun in a play chip tourney and EVERYTIME you get moved your chip stack resets to 1000. I went from over 11K to 1K. The nice thing is, if you're less than 1000 you go back up to 1000...

I don't know if this will be happening once the real money tables return (they're not back online yet) but I would definitely confirm that this IS NOT happening before buying into a game.

I can no longer play on Party Poker because it says my operating system is not supported. Windows XP x64 edition is not supported. What a fucking joke!

Meh, I guess I had to uninstall then reinstall it to get it to work.

Someone else had reported this problem and Party was working to correct it from what I heard. But you're waiting, at the very least.

Party is really stupid after all.

I've been thinking for over a month now; Party is going to have to totally debug the beta software before they upgrade to it. It was taking a long time and I kept thinking, "any day now."

Today was the day and I figured it would be smooth sailing. Wrong.

Reports of tables disappearing midplay (from desktop and games list altogether), buttons needed to be clicked multiple times (8-10? WTF?) before they register preplay boxes and action buttons, "my account" pages not being able to be opened, etc.

I'm pretty pissed about this. How do you not know that shit doesn't fucking work? Whatever. This is going to cost me money, because I'm not going to go through the frustration of learning a new lobby and software features that aren't even functioning properly.

Time to go back to the last 200 of that FullTit bonus.

Some ppl are complaining of having to press the button 5 times, but it's working perfect for me. I think its an upgrade for sure.

EDIT: at first it was working fine,but lately ive had to click the fold button up to 9 times for it to fold tho. Very annoying. And now it keeps happening.

The ONLY thing I like so far (that I've seen) is the ability to shrink the windows. On my 1440x900 monitor I can run 6 windows with no overlap, or 9 windows if I overlap them so that the chat isn't visible. If I were a person that ran many tables at the same time I'd be lovin' this! Unfortunately, most of my money is at Stars and none of is at party so it's not really an issue for me at the moment.

I would love to see Stars come out with resizable windows.

The buttons worked worse and worse the more i played and got so annoying i just had to quit playing there. The fold button took AT LEAST 5 clicks to work, One time i counted 11. It's annoying as hell and my whole table was complaining about the same thing.
Great how they come out with this and cause even more problems. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

I like free stuff. Especially stuff I wouldn't normally buy for myself.

Everything was fine, except when I re-sized the tables. When re-sized, I'd have to click the buttons three times and then the buttons eventually disappeared and the program crashed.

The SNGs are weird too. 2000 starting chips with 20/40 blinds that go up every 10 minutes.

Tooling around a little, I like what I see. Resizing the tables is an obvious plus, the design seem a little overly fancy but I’m getting used to it, and I like the convenience of being able to access all my account and other info quickly and easily. With this done, I’ve got to think the store will open any day now. Now all I need is a nice juicy reload.

well I won $57 in one of the points tournies, Thats what im playing with right now. Been able to build it a little at $25 NL which I know is above bankroll but it was free money sooo. Gavin is good, I will pm you details when i have more time to type it out to you.

If you are having problems running the new Party Beta after the update, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, uninstall the software and try to reinstall totally.

I've read of people doing this routine procedure, hoping to troubleshoot some basic problems. What has happened is Party's software may have done some damage and deleted a majority (if not all) of the image files on their hard drives.

So, people are losing photos of junior's gradution, titties in Cancun, the weekly bridge club meeting, etc.

However, the image and icon files for other programs were deleted as well, rendering them useless. In every situation I've read about, the common variable was uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

What a fuck up.

Wow, I'm gonna stay away from Party until this mess is cleaned up.

Ok, I just gave Party a whirl for the first time... I stuck to cash games and didn't have any crazy problems. My 6 max tables were showing up as full ring games in Poker Tracker, but other that that, everything seemed pretty smooth.

Being able to resize game windows is a HUGE plus. Hopefully they will get the rest of their bugs worked out soon (especially that tourney nonsense).

The 6-max hands won't be changed. You can do it manually in PT though. Utilities>Database Maint. and Options. Just like Stars.
