Pokerstars $2.5M Freeroll
Everyone should log in and check their tournament tickets (Requests -> tournament tickets). I have one that was issued July 14th for the 2.5 Million Moneymaker Round 1.
No indication on when that is yet but keep checking the Events tab. |
i got one.
same
I got one as well...
any idea when this starts? |
Same here, and I rarely play there.
Seems pretty clear to me that everyone got one.
Luck be a lady tonight!!!!
Lou, What's the "over/under" that we all got a ticket???? |
LOL - you love "over/unders" on True/False statements. :D
I got one, too, which clearly means this whole thing is a sham.
Ok, I'm adding my name on this list too.
I got one too, and I havent played a hand there in months.
You'll probably only have to beat like 2 or 3 people for a big cash in this! |
Round 1 Starts today.
10 FPP to enter (not including your free ticket) Max 10k entrys. Top 50 move to Round 2. |
I'm in this mofo. Hmmm ... with 10000 max entries and a whopping 50 spots, I'd put my chances at ... fan-friggin'-tastic.
Well, I'm in the inaugural game. Starts at 2:00pm today! Max 10K players. This should be a HUGE All-in fest...
This thing got me excited, but its satellites for a live tournament which I'm not old enough to play in. Screw you $2.5 Million Moneymaker Millionaire.
Okay, just reading through the levels. If you make it to Level 2, the weekly, 320 people move on to the Round 3 - the Monthly. THIS is where stuff gets hella cool. The top 5 finishers win a trip down to Atlantis to play in the live final event. The next 4 finishers win an entry into the PCA. Then the next 111 places also pay out AT LEAST $100. That's pretty freakin' cool.
No word yet on the prize breakdown for the final event though. EDIT: NM - The website has the details on the final event prize breakdown |
Neat promo. If I'm reading this right though, you HAVE to win your way up, starting at Round 1. You can't just buy in to Round 2 or 3 for more points.
All in fest is right. |
I'm registered, let's kick it.
Alright, I'm in this one too. Hope to see the rest of you in the top 50. :)
Lets see... 50/10000 will advance so my chances are
0.5% and once I make it to Round 2 320/10000 = 3.2% and then after that I have to place 120/5000 = 2.4% So chance of placing in the money is 0.000384% if i only use only my free tournament ticket and if my calculations are correct, which they almost never are.:o |
Well, strictly by the numbers of entrants this might be right, but that assumes everyone plays at the same skill level and everyone gets an even percentage of good/bad hands, etc, etc
Down to 'only' 6498 players (yeah it filled at 10000), I'm currently sitting at 3135, which is comfortably above the average but well below top 50. :D
And down to 1700, 99 doesn't hold up to a Q84 flop, naturally someone called me with QJo  At least I'm making a bit of money at .50/1 stud while this is going on!
I'm out. Had about 1800 in chips (small stack at my table), pushed preflop with QQ, got called by a KK and some other jabroni. Flop comes out 67Q, so I'm lovin' it. Of course, the turn is a K, and well, we all know how this story ends ...
And out in 3166th, place. KOD loses to...A6o
Well, first break and I'm 544/3063. Of course, it's helped that twice someone has moved all in before me while I held the nuts.
Out now. Made it to 1480. My AK lost to KT, he flopped two pair.
I'm gonna strap on the boots again. It's only 10 FPP to play, so I say, "What the hell?" It starts in 15 minutes, for anyone interested. Nearly 9000 registered so far.
iwent out in 9,0xx.place dam aa.

wow, weak ace wins again
I would've had over 10k chips if my KK had held up (all right, you can stop laughing now), probably would've put me around the top 100 at the time. Oh well. |
I played the 3:30 one and lasted down to 322nd. Then lost.
Ok my turn, I am registered in the 8:30 PM EST one.
I am sure I will last awhile then lose when about 4 hrs in. :) |
im in it as well
whats your screename on stars
Ummm Robbr25,
I am in bad shape now though. Guy flopped a set on me :( |
Got knocked out by a donk who ended up with pot odds to call preflop.

420th in the 6 p.m. one ... Was on a great roll, then just donked out. Ugh.
donk on donk violence
going to give this a try...
10,000 people in this and 50 win a ticket, if you can get pass round 1 you will be sitting pretty good for round two. |
Too funny. :D
Sorry HE, but you gotta hit back harder then that! |
Played in the late night one tonight and took 152nd place (out of over 8000), so I'm improving. I need to start playing a little more aggressive as the blinds go up, though.
You know, it's funny. I'm only playing in this for fun. There's no way I'll be able to play in Round 2 because of work. So, if I somehow find my way into the top 50 of one of these, I'll forward it on to one of you guys and you can play under my name and password. |
