January Goals...
 

Mine's simple, so I'll start:

1. Win the WPT-PCA Main Event in the Bahamas.

Yeah. Simple.:thumbsup:

I'm tempted to edit my post to add: "Print it!" but I'm going to restrain myself.

1). Play 10K hands.
2). Be bankrolled for 100NL by Feb 1.
3). My next goal is my most important and most challenging. Far too many of my sessions are of the “sweet I can squeeze in an hr session” type where I don’t even consider my frame of mind before playing. I need to approach each session with a consistent mindset. (yeah, I am the kind of guy that needs to do the same things before shooting freethrows or lining up a golf shot. I am not Nomar bad, but still I got to my little thing.)

2. Play 20k hands at 2/4 after the 7th.
3. Win more than 2bb/100

I'll make a few goals this month...

1. play 1K hands of 25 or 50 NL

2. win aleast $100 either through tourney play or cash games.

3. FT aleast one tournament.

My goal
 

Domination. Sheer and utter domination.

World domination?

1.) Actually get a bankroll going
2.) Beat eejit HU (see later post)
3.) Have a decent ROI in $1.20 45 mans
4.) FT at least one $4.40 180 man

mine

1) cash out everything but 5k and rebuild from 5k for 07.
2) Play a decent amount before I have to go back to school
3) Play alot less once I get to school
4) Once I get to 30k profit I think I'm gonna start playing some 10/20
5) Learn more PLO and win

1. Play 5k hands
2. FT a tourney or a 180
3. Win $500

1.) Have a winning month (third in a row, then we can work on other goals)
2.) Clear the Poker Stars Bonus (1500 points for $150)
3.) Continue playing aggressive after the flop (I was very passive before)

Play at least 10k hands
Build my roll to play 100 game
Only play when I'm mentally in the right frame of mind
NO TILT
Kill the local live tournies
Stay off the smokes

I like these at lot - well, except for #5 which I have no interest in. What limits are you going to start at?

No, not really.

I mean, if for some crazy reason I don't win the PCA (like when my KK gets cracked by KT after we are down to Heads Up and I trap him beautifully), I suppose I'd still be happy with some other accomplishments... but I feel no need to write them down, since there is only one goal that matters to me right now.

I think I'm going to take it easy this month. If I play I play, if I don't I don't. So I guess the only goal I have is if I do play, I will have fun.

Goals for January!
 

1) Have some fun at play money poker.
2) Find uot hove to withdraw my money.

1. Double my 100$ bankroll playing .10/.25 NL
2. Bring more hands in for analyzing in the HSIHPT section.

Goal 3: Win enough money to buy a Xbox 360.

Turn my 2007 bankroll ($500) into 1G.

I have 12 straight days off of work so I should be able to put in some crazy hrs.

Goal three has been finished to, just ordered my 360, gears of war, and madden 07.

Drat. 0 for 1.

Guess I'll have to make some more realistic goals for the rest of the month. How about:

2. Have a great time in the Bahamas.
3. Play good poker while I'm here and hopefully cash in something.
4. A couple of days after I get home, refocus on NL cash games and make some good progress this month. I want to keep playing within my bankroll (well, my "online" bankroll, which is a fraction of my true bankroll) and keep building it up. I know where I want to be long term, but for now, I'm happy at 2/4 and 3/6 - I just want to win more at those levels.

First time I've set goals, but I want to become a bronzie on Stars. About 1150 to go, and I've been crushing the $1/2 FL O8 games thus far.

i forgot to post my goal for January, but it was to set a new monthly record because I've got the entire month off. I think my biggest previous month was about 19K including RB. I think i might be there already; i'll load up PT

looks like i'm there at the moment (but i'm due to start running bad)

I'm done for the month. The last two days have been some of the most horrible poker I've ever experienced. I lost a 4k pot HU with top 2 vs. bottom set, a 4k pot with a set vs a straight draw and a 4k pot with set over set (I really, really, really should've got away from that one). I feel pretty sick just looking at some of the HHs; I really have been playing very poorly the past week or so. I think I'm going to move down to 2/4 and 3/6 to start February in order to re-focus.

I achieved my best-month-ever goal, but remain pretty disappointed in the finish to the month.

End results:
Pokertracker: +39K
Non-PT play: -2k
Casino play: -1k

Total: +37.3k

There's also a $100 bounty if anyone sees me playing before Feb 1 (MyPetTurtle on FTP and stars).

Ive always wanted to do a prop bet and no1 ever does.
So if u want to do something for next month for like $500 or 1k or wutever i think it'd be fun.
we could do whoever makes most $, best winrate at a certain limit, play each other heads up, ill do pretty much anything.

edit: or anyone else that wants to do anykind of prop bet.

- Overall winrate
- Hands played
- Bankroll management? (this is pretty subjective, but basically whoever avoids playing 25/50nl will win this)

Any other categories? I'm actually more interested in ones like br management that discourage tilty/degenerate play.

As an update to my January goals, I lost half of my (remaining, since I lost last night too) month to date winnings tonight. Ugh.

I don't know if I'll play tomorrow or not. I maybe should take a little break.

all those hands were'nt drunk obviously or i'd be a serious alcoholic, but some were, and the others were mainly when too much was going on, like friends in my room and music and ppl playin games and i would try to play but finally realized i just coudlnt concentrate. now i only play when not alot is goin on.

and i loosened up my 6 max game mainly cuz i wasnt 8 or 12 tabling, i was only playin like 4 at a time and i can actually pay attention.

After last night's nonsense, I decided not to play tonight, so I'm done for the month.
