Spectators

In regards a couple of the watch me play threads we’ve had lately … what do you all think of having spectators while you play, either online or B&M?. Watching me grind out my 2/3 BBs an hour on at the Party low-limit tables is hardly compelling drama, so I haven’t ever had to worry about this online, though I think I might it disconcerting. As for B&M, I don’t like it, especially if the spectator is waiting for the game, and getting a free read on me.

i don't like spectators period. if you talk to them later, they make wise ass hind sight 20-20 comments that wreck your game.

Spectators can also effect your play without you even realizing it during the game. And like stussy said, the spectator always knew how to play that hand you lost big on.

Don't let them bother you. Anyone can make Monday Morning Quarterback comments.

Generally, I don't like when people watch when I play B/M games because I know I give away too many tells. The astute "spectator" should be able to pick up on these. Online, I don't mind if someone watches and I'm talking to that person... but just quietly watching? Ehh - it's a little weird. Although I would play higher limits, I'm still a student, and I'm stuck grinding out low limit BULLSHIT. :)

I doubled up at a $25 NLHE table on Party w/ QQ... anyone catch that? LOL.

i dont mind spectators online, usually because it is only my girlfriend or a friend watcing me, but i cant stand it in a b&m. its kind of funny though, because the only people who are railbirding me in a b&m are also my girlfriend or friends. it just seems to annoy me a lot more live than it does online.

It's funny but the spectators come baiting when a big tourny's online are finishing. Been in a few situations where I got to the final table and it seemed each player left had their fan clubs cheering and trying their bests to put the others off. I tend to turn off player chat at final tables these days.

This is probably the best thing to do, however perhaps at times the spectators may give you some information accidentally on how the player had played a similar hand. I would generally leave the chat on but take it with a grain of salt.
