Poker Tracker?

Where can I get this Pocker Tracker software I've been hearing about? How much does it cost? And is it worth it?

$55, I have the evaluation version right now and I think it looks very worthwhile for identifying holes in your game that would be impossible to track by hand. I am planning on purchasing it as it should pay for itself quite quickly.

The only thing I don't like too much is that it only accepts hand histories from a handful of sites. I wish it accepted them from more, but it is still a great tool.

How did you acquire this "evaluation version?" I didn't see anything on the site with a quick glance.

"Try Poker Tracker for free by downloading the free trial version today. Import up to 1,000 hands with no obligation. If you like the software and want to be able to import more than 1,000 hands, you can purchase a registration code for only $55.00."

Down at the bottom of the main page. As I remember you just download it and can use it for 1000 hands. If you want to continue after that you have to pay to get a code.

Auto-Rating

See my note about the Autorating files too, they are great. It will give you an idea of what type of player you and your opponents are: Calling Stations, Fish, etc..

Hmmmmmm...

One last thing.......... I read the terms and stuff that I have to agree to to get the trial version and they were saying all this technical mumbojumbo that I just don't comprehend. I have a sh!tty computer and I don't want it to harm the performance. It's iffy already.
Anybody run it on a dial up connection and does it hurt performance?

pokertracker is awesome.

If you're like me and don't have a credit card, email PT and ask them if you could pay for it with your poker winnings. I transfered 55 bucks from my PokerStars account to the one PT said I should, and they gave me the activation code. I thought that was awesome.

Cheers,

Gutzz

Okay, final few questions before I try it?

When I look at a table to select and the players come up, will it automatically tell me "fish" "shark" etc. or is that something that you need additional components for? I don't understand what Sir W was talking about really.

Second, I play at two computers. Would I have to buy it two times to use it both places?

I have to get this thing. I was playing today and had only been at the table for a short time and a guy I was playing with started calling me "shark." So, i asked him if he had PT and he said yes.

Good to know I'm a shark I guess, but he was singing the praises like you wouldn't believe.

Help!!

Does anyone know if there is a tracking software for Pacific Poker??

PShabi 12-01-04 11:46 AM

From what I've seen and read, no.

Defendant 12-01-04 01:16 PM

So this poker tracker only works on party/empire? or any skin that keeps a hand history available?

The impression I got was the sites that keep hand history. Go to pokertracker.com and I believe they list the sites they track. Pretty much all the majors other than Pac.

SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER MY LAST FEW QUESTIONS!!!! :)

Talking Poker 12-01-04 01:36 PM

Don't take this wrong, but I'm sure all of your questions are answered here:

To answer this question though, no. It supports most of the big sites and even some of the small ones.

im using the trial version right now and honestly i dont see how it works. i tried manually adding players that were at a table with me and it didn't keep any statistics while i was playing. shrug.

SirFWALGMan 12-01-04 02:37 PM

Easy

You have to play a few hands, and have the auto-import feature on. Once it has imported a few hands, you go to the settings and the table you are on will be listed. Choose this table and it will automatically keep people in, when they leave the table it will switch them with new people, and do all kinds of cool stuff.

BlibbityBlabbity 12-01-04 02:37 PM

You download your hand histories (from sites it supports) and import them in. Then PokerTracker will give you stats on your play by hand/session/overall and stats on your opponents from the hand histories you import.

It does not track your stats or your opponents while in a hand (as far as I know). They have a forum with a new to PokerTracker FAQ on their site, I would check it out.

BlibbityBlabbity 12-01-04 02:38 PM

Ok, forget what I said......

What sites does that feature work with. I have only done manual import of hand histories. That sounds cool though :)
