UB Aruba Classic no longer part of WPT
 

Not sure if this is old news or not, but Annie Duke was talking about it during the web broadcast of the SCN2 last night. Apparently UB and the WPT had a parting of the ways over some disagreement and the UB Aruba event will no longer be a part of the WPT. The event is still going to happen and apparently it is all but confirmed that it will be broadcast on TV via FSN. (makes sense they are also broadcasting the UltimateBet Poker Challange)

Another thing Annie said is that they are going to be doing weekly $500 tourneys starting soon. (not that I can play at that level, but I know some of you do)

This is interesting. I had heard rumors about this. I heard the exact same rumors about the Party Poker Cruise (starting next year), so we'll have to see if that's true or not too.
