Could you have made the call...

...that Temp Hutter did last night on WPT with A7 (I think) knowing that one you your outs was gone (dealer flashed the card and it became the first burn card)?

I have no idea what you're talking about, but...

WELCOME to the BOARD.

Thanks. Guess I should introduce myself. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks. The chatter about the forum challenge has been entertaining, by the way. I play poker casually, on-line and in home games. I'm an IT guy at an accounting firm, so this time of the year I spend a lot of time at work, but mostly it's just waiting to put out fires. Lot's of time for surfing.

I was refering to the WPT Foxwoods event aired last night on the Travel channel. An accountant from Va., Temp Hutter, ended up heads up against Tuan Le. In one hand he called Le's all-in with A7 suited and, as stated above, one of his 7's was mucked becaused it was flashed. I'm just trying to figure out of the guy is a maniac or a genius.

That was an bad call in my opinion. I'd muck it in a heartbeat. Humberto had been pushing in a lot but I still let it go.

thats almost a insta-fold IMO since he only put 120K into the pot and was raised basically allin himself for like 1.2 Mill more... I would of just folded it and go on to the next hand.

I would have folded too. In Temp's defence though, they were down to 3 handed and Humberto had been coming over the top regularly. Humberto is also a better player, so maybe Temp decided he'd rather just get his chips in preflop with a decent chance and leave it up to fate, instead of getting outplayed after the flop.

But I still would have laid it down.

Welcome to the forum Quint!

I thought the SAME exact thing... He didnt seem like he wanted to play a flop with Humberto and he figured he could just call his allin and just hope for the best.
