my saga

My career online poker winnings is $700, nothing special but the way I won it I find to be very interesting so I thought I would tell you my story of how I won that money. This is the saga of kmb4; I play on pokerstars.com, but I never played for real money, just for play money. So over the summer of 2005, probably mid-August I got up to 100k play chips (nothing special). A friend of mine gave me a website where I could sell my play chips, so I decided to give it a shot. I sold my 100k for $1. I put this one dollar into a cash game with blinds at .01/.02. I did well at this table and continued playing at small cash games. I did very well at these tables and got up to about $20. Pokerstars has incredible multitable tournaments, so I decided to give one a shot. I played in a 5 dollar tourney with 1400 participants (this was my first ever online real money tournament). I did very well in this tournament. I played the best 5 hours of poker of my life and got some help too by winning most of the coin flips and also winning an all in with 88 over AA (I hit my set). I got 5th out of 1400 in this tourney which paid $495. After that over the next couple of weeks I played cash games with limits of .5/1, 1/2, and 2/4. I was just dominating these games and built up my stack to $1400. That was a lot to me so I decided to cash out $700. After that I started a downfall. I am very undisciplined and impatient, which led to a major tilt and downfall the next day in which I lost $600 and was down to $100. Over the span of a week I lost the rest of my money, and now I’m back to playing for play money.
