full tilt question (plus some Sixth Sense discussion)

i have been playing only at ps most of the time, never had a full tilt account, will i be happy if i move to full tilt, is it a good site to move to for a while, cuz i just wanna take a break for ps for a while, and i wouldnt mind the 100% bonus by full tilt, also can u transfer money from player to player in full tilt like in ps, and one more thing can i still use that rake back thing u offered long time ago tp?

jillaj 04-14-07 10:27 PM

Tilt is pretty much like stars but minus 10 thousand people or more. There is still plenty of game selection though. You can transfer between players and I am sure you can still sign up for rakeback through tp. It is a good place to take a break from stars at.

redbank09 04-14-07 10:50 PM

they will limit ur player to player transfers there. i think u can only transfer what u have deposited

You won't be sorry about the move. And yes, you can still get RB from me - see my thread in the SPAM section.

BULLSHIT...........

Tilt sucks big donkey dong!!!!:p :p

But, if you are gonna go there, you cant beat TP's rakeback.

Well,

NL100 and 200 are both easy, breezy, beautiful on FTP if you select good tables.

burty1 04-16-07 10:26 PM

Just curious...how do you identify a "good" table at FT??

I tried it and wasn't all that impressed with it - namely, because I had to come up with my own rules in order to make it work reasonably well. Have people come up with generally accepted "good" rules yet?

Also, for (slightly) higher limits with less tables to choose from, do you think this would still be worth using?

PShabi 04-16-07 11:58 PM

Mayhem has a set that work good. He sent me the .txt file and that was it. I'd use it at higher levels. It works well at NL200, but there's close to 50 tables running at times. I'd think that at the higher levels, game/seat selection would be even more important. Better competition, less fish, less games.

I like every edge I can get, and this is just another one.

I use 6th sense as well, for game selection at $100 and $200NL. I find it remarkably helpful, esp when you are changing tables in teh middle of a session. As for the rules, I used mayhems for a bit, and they were good, but then I just found and wrote my own really easily. I would be happy to share if anyone wants them, but it is so easy to tweak your rules for your own style of play using that program that really everyone can find make their own rules.

Talking Poker 04-17-07 12:20 PM

If you and Mayhem could each post your rules (or if you could post both versions), I'd like to see what you guys use - and I'm sure others here would as well. I suspect I could tweak them a little more and come up with something that works for me, so I may give this program another shot.

P.S. I'm going to edit the name of this thread, since we are well OT now, but this is useful stuff.

Oh yeah. :o

I actually remember looking at that and not being very impressed by your rules... If they are good enough for you guys though (and you haven't tweaked them in the last 6 months), then I guess they are good enough for me.

Shit, those rules suck. Ive tweaked them since then. Hold on.

Talking Poker 04-17-07 02:16 PM

Better - still though, you're basically only targeting the loose guys, right? I guess that's a good start, but what about the ultra-passive calling stations? Also, what about awarding negative points for the biggest sharks?

Or do you find that to be overkill and just try to find the fish?

MAYHEM45 04-17-07 02:59 PM

Meh, these work for me. They give me about 12 tables to choose from once i filter the results, then I just get on the best tables out of those's waiting lists, and then just sit at a bunch of already open tables and start playing, switching the newly opened waiting list tables for the worst of my already open tables as they become available.

These rules RULE. +Rep.

Talking Poker 04-23-07 05:45 PM

SS purchased, rules imported, running the Aggregator now.

It's been 6 months since my trial, so I have a lot of hands to aggregate. This may take a while.

Thanks though. Rules look good at a glance.
