Sports books

I'm planning on using an online sports book for the first time. Any advice on which are the best, and whether or not they have minimum bets.

We've had lots of discussion on this before. I've been enjoying Mansion ever since they handed me $1000 for free - GG Mansion! - but I still shop for lines and often can find a better one at the site I've been using for 10 years - .

No idea about minimum bets, but I think they'll be glad to take any amount of money from you.

Betjamaica is the best sportsbook period.

they are also the safest sportsbook.

Based on what? Unless these comments are backed up with some data, these are opinions, and not facts. Right?

canbet has instant cashouts to neteller, and pretty good lines.

i either use them, intertops, or the one thats part of paradise

I will back up what he says. BetJamaica is by far and away the best book I have ever used.

Very quick and friendly support, Scotty will make lines for you on events not listed and when I request a withdraw the money is usually in my Neteller account before I can even change the page to look and see.

Wide array of bet types and props too, this is a book everyone should have.

I have only placed a couple bets, at Bodog. They seems to have a nice enough site for sports wagering, but I dont think they have the most favorable lines. Of course it matters which side you are going to take, but from the games that I have been interested in, or have looked at pics made here, it seems they always have an extra half point against (ie NE -3.5 vs. Jets instead of -3 like everyone else seemed to get).
On the positive side, they allow $5 bets. Ya big time baby. Seems ok for someone like me who can leave a little bit of poker money in there, and can pop over to make a quick small bet from time to time.
There are surely better books online, but you can double dip and place small bets.

If you are looking for the best lines available, Pinnacle is the best online sportsbook. It is more catered to higher limits/professional though.

Also check out . You can't go wrong with any of the books in the recommended list.

I'm pretty sure Intertops' minimum bet is $1. I usually make about 30 or so crazy small bets during the SuperBowl...

omahilo 09-26-06 02:19 PM

Your the one that got me to betjamaica in the first place... back when you posted that thread about all the various sportsbooks.

I agree, these guys are great. Ive never had a problem withdrawing money from these guys. I dont have to worry about my money disappearing.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'm gonna go with intertops and betjamaica

Anyone know of any bonus codes for this site, or would anyone want to have me say I was referred by them so they can get a bonus.

Penguinfan 09-26-06 02:57 PM

TP has a link for Intertops, either site should give you a bonus with or without a code though.

Talking Poker 09-26-06 03:05 PM

Yes, my link is posted above.

Thats cool.

What like, a 15 prop parlay? lol

Talking Poker 09-26-06 10:28 PM

No, I make all sorts of bets for anywhere from 1-$20. Who will score first, what kind of play, the freaking coin toss, head to head yardage, you name it... They probably offer 100 prop bets for the SuperBowl. Maybe 200, now that I think about it.

omahilo 09-26-06 11:27 PM

I think Betjamaica gave me 10% bonus on my 1st deposit.

Penguinfan 09-27-06 12:52 PM

BEAT THIS:

I once bet on weather or not there would be more yardage gained in the first offensive series of the SuperBowl or more shots on goal in the Rangers/Flyers game being played the same day. I think those were the teams involved anyway.
