Subscription Poker

Just wondering what people think about the subscription poker sites? it seems to be the new trend and more of them seem to be opening and I guess its mainly with the US market in mind considering the current legislation.

I'm in the UK but have used ClubBluff and SpadeClub as warm-up/training before playing other torneys on regular sites, the bluff site imo was better but it is based on UB software, there are also ClubWPT & FleetStreetGames out there at the moment.

Whats your take on this and do you expect other sites to either crop up or offer this service.

thadeas.

P.S check my signature as No Pay also offer a US friendly poker room without a subscription.

So wait, there are people that actually pay $20/month to play at an online poker site? LOL

I could be wrong, but I believe this is in liu of taking a rake. I am CERTAIN I pay more than $20 a month in rake.

I have been actually wondering a bit about this myself. I was watching clubWPT on tv tonight and Im a little curious about it. Has anyone on here tried playing on there yet?

If its true that you can pay a subscription instead of rake it seems like a pretty good deal, but I would think that would attract more regs then fish.
