You fool! Your playing style is inferior to my Angry Donkey Poker!

I love the title. It sounds like a kung fu style from those old Golden Harvest movies.

EDIT: The fact that your PFR is more than my bankroll makes my knackers hurt.

jillaj 10-05-07 06:55 PM

After seeing 6 people sitting at your HU table I am wandering if I am wasted too.

JDMcNugent7 10-05-07 06:56 PM

they're all sitting out besides the guy im playin who is not good at NL, hes a PLO player.

jillaj 10-05-07 07:40 PM

Some people say reading is fundamental. As you can see with me comprehension is also fundamental as well. I should work on my skills. :donkey

bunny 10-05-07 08:20 PM

I am still in shock, not for the fact that you won that hand (lucky you), but more so for the fact that you would chance 15k as if it were 15 dollars.

Would you ever have played it this way if you were not drunk?

Wes 10-05-07 08:30 PM

JD is a balla. He wipes his ass with 10k bricks.

stormswa 10-05-07 08:38 PM

which is more reason why you should be bankrolled for the level you are playing. When you are you can make these plays because its the correct play regardless of how much money it is.

bunny 10-05-07 09:04 PM

Are you saying, you too would chance 15k on a hand such as this?

Fildy 10-05-07 09:08 PM

No offense meant at all, but higher stakes poker is more than level 1 or even level 2 poker, Most likely this is a good move, maybe not the best one, but probably a good one, it is HU after all and we dont know all the info that JD knows about this player.

Wes 10-05-07 09:14 PM

You guys are overestimating the intelligence of a drunk teenager. It's more so level -2 than level 2.

Fildy 10-05-07 09:16 PM

maybe the -2 move and the 2 move are the same? after all they both have the same absolute value?

stormswa 10-05-07 09:23 PM

putting the fact that JD is drunk on the side, he is known as a very very aggressive player on FTP. So with his image he has a lot of people play back at him with all sorts of hands. His KJ could be miles ahead of what they are trying to play back at him with. So certain situations yes I could see me putting it all in there heads up with KJ, would I do it everytime? of course not.

bunny 10-05-07 09:26 PM

JK for 15k ... a good move?

We do know he was drunk and probably the reason he played this hand as he did, or I hope so. Or maybe he's rich enough to afford a loss of 15k, who knows.

Fildy 10-05-07 09:32 PM

4 ballin with JK is not that bad of a move HU, once again, maybe JD knows something we dont (doubtful as he was drunk) but who knows. You are saying that it is a bad move to 4 ball with JK is retarded, there is always a situation where 4 balling could be okay.

Scenario

You are playing HU, you notice that your oponent will 3 ball with a generous range of hands, but will only call with a 4 bet with JJ+ (lets say 1/4 of his 3 ball range). You are saying that 4 balling here is a bad idea?

I think not.

Reel Deal 10-05-07 10:19 PM

Bunny, you're too hung-up on the amount... they were HU and that guy was a moron to call JD's bet. I know you haven't been around much lately but JD has been posting huge 6-figure months. $15K is a drop in a very large lake for him.

Zybomb 10-05-07 10:31 PM

JD is bankrolled for the game. Bunny 15k is not thought of as 15k in a poker game. Its chips... You dont think like well for $15 this is worth it, but for $15k its not. It's all pot odds, and the thought that u have the best hand or not-- the actual amount is of no importance. If you are thinkin in terms of money ("a draw is worth $25 to chase but not $500) thats wrong.

If your decisions are changing bc of the amount of $$ involved then you are playing too high
