Cubs Fans

I hope and pray that none of you watched the debacle that was the last 3 innings like I did today. The question is, is this the most piss poor excuse of a Cub team that you can remember based on expectations heading into the season?

Another thing that I have to get off my chest is the fact that dog shit perez is even in the major leagues, let alone why he seems to be Dusty's favorite player baffles me. He can't hit, can't field, and is the ONLY person alive that thinks a bunt with 2 on and 2 out in the ninth when you are down is the correct play, well make that 1 of 2 since Dusty defended him. Can't wait to watch him in the strting line up tommorrow.

life sucks

I'm past the point of analyzing shit bro. And I'm glad I didn't see whatever happened today. Off to read about it now.

jillaj 05-26-06 07:25 PM

Reading about it doesn't do it justice. Watch sportscenter to get the full sense of how craptastic it was.

Go braves....

not a cub hater but a braves fan:cool:

PunkyChikn 05-26-06 08:12 PM

Even I'm saying fuck this season now. And Barrett got ten games for the Pierzynski thing. Fuck.

jillaj 05-26-06 08:18 PM

That does mean a lot coming from you.

eejit101 05-26-06 08:55 PM

What did Barrett do to the catcher?

And yup, Go Braves!!!

jillaj 05-26-06 09:05 PM

He sucker punched him in the jaw.

eejit101 05-26-06 09:06 PM

wow, not to offend anyone, but 10 games is a short for that kind of think.

Are all Cubs that feisty?

GTDawg 05-26-06 10:52 PM

It takes a lot of skill and determination to lose a game when the pitcher has a nohitter in to the 7th inning

eejit101 05-27-06 12:51 AM

Some big rep mo fo keeps -repping me for nascar and cubs threads...

Shabi?

PShabi 05-27-06 11:51 AM

WTF are you talking about, retard?

eejit101 05-27-06 12:56 PM

EDIT - got the -rep. hmmm, confusing.

Heres somethign i never got - apart from the yankees, why are the Cubs the most loved team in MLB?

Aequitas58 05-27-06 01:33 PM

That's interesting ... I feel like the Yankees are one of the most hated teams in MLB. :)

JDMcNugent7 05-27-06 01:55 PM

Since when are the cubs one of the most loved teams ??

PShabi 05-27-06 04:16 PM

Since before you were a twinkle in your daddy's testicle, junior.

JDMcNugent7 05-27-06 05:03 PM

I guess I missed that since the Cubs are our biggest rivals.

Akverno 05-28-06 12:09 AM

For starters, the cubs are the winningest team in baseball history (games). I can't really think of another reason why they would be considered one of america's favorite baseball teams. I've just been a fan since I was born. Mom's family is from Illinois. I'm from Alaska, we have to pro sports teams.

PShabi 05-28-06 01:01 AM

They have a huge following across the nation. It's mostly because of WGN. Back when I was growing up, they played ALL the Cubs games on WGN, for the entire country. People in the middle of nowhere, with no teams, got to see the Cubbies.

eejit101 05-28-06 02:23 AM

Good answers, thanx for the replies. I follow the braves for 1 reason, i saw them play the first game i ever saw, Maddux pitched a no hitter, and the Jones's and sheffield and whoever went mad, hitting 12 or something, i loved their style, great game. So now i follow the braves!

Akverno 05-28-06 04:29 AM

Wasn't sure of the WGN thing. When I was a kid our cable was out of Denver so I had no idea if WGN was cross country w/ the cubs games. Yeah, I definately saw 1/3-1/2 of their games every season (played too much baseball myself in the summertime to see all of em). I missed WGN when I was in florida, my cable network didn't carry it so I so no cubs games.
