Dick Vermeil retires

aww come on, does anyone else think he owned??? (not as much as the bears, of course!!)

By owned you mean was he a good coach? Of course. I wish he would stay with the team. He was a stand up guy and cared about his players off the field as well as on. The only thing I don't understand is why he announced his retirement before the game. If they would've made the playoffs I think it would've been a distraction to the team. But it doesn't matter now. Detroit gave Pittsburgh a better game than I thought possible, but of course they couldn't avoid the inevitable loss.

Vermeil is like Larry Brown. He's gotta be the center of attention.

Crybaby. :D
