Does the buy in of a tourney change your style of play??

I figured id better make my 500th post worth it.

I play alot of $5 - $50 tournies, and my style of play is loose, aggressive at first, then gets a bit tighter at the end. However ive recently been playing alot of $200s and around that area, in which i am very very tight all the way, im happy winning blinds with AK off suit and hands like that. Obviously id rather get called and win it on the flop or turn or soething, but winning blinds and limpers bets doesnt bother me.

Does anyone else have a significant style of play change depending on the size of the buy in of the tourney. I dont mean freerolls by the way, i mean real money games. Everyone plays loose in small freerolls.

Discuss please!!

( is 500 posts any good:D  ) lol

the buy in for the tournament technically should not effect your play whatsoever

I agree with this. But I'll tell you dlat out I'll be playing differently during *the first day* of the WSOP than I do in some random $200 online tourney. Once I survive that though, I'll crank it up on Day 2....

Then again, if I catch a break early and get some chips, I won't be afraid to use them.
