Wow, I've never got one but if i did I would expect banners and stars and everything. They just called it a "straight flush"?

bigjohnstud2o 11-15-04 09:19 PM

yea

I dont know why they dont put Royal in their software applications. Straight high ace flush

omahilo 11-15-04 09:41 PM

why are you shocked you got one in omaha before holdem? in Omaha you get more cards and more card combos so its more likely you will get one in omaha first.

jdiana86 11-15-04 10:06 PM

Congrats

junYUN 11-15-04 10:27 PM

congrats! still waiting on my first royal :(

bigjohnstud2o 11-15-04 11:16 PM

i was surprised

B/C I mostly only play Holdem. I might play 1/2 hour a week in Omaha. Prolly like 65+ Holdem

omahilo 11-15-04 11:34 PM

Oh I see I thought it was because you thought it was more likely in holdem to get a royal compared to omaha, thats cool then.

bigjohnstud2o 11-15-04 11:45 PM

no

no i know there is a higher % chance in omaha. I just never play it too much

GeoffM 11-16-04 08:30 AM

The chances in Omaha aren't as high as you might think. First, you still may only get 2 of the suited cards needed, so getting a third makes it impossible. 2nd, other players also have 4 cards so the chances are greater that they have one of the necessary cards. Nice hand though. I've had a few A-5 flushes, arguably the absolute best hand in that game, but if you catch the royal with the A in your hand that is even better.

Nice!

Congrats! I have had one on Empire. I made a whole 8 bucks on it. Ha!

eddo31 11-16-04 02:24 PM

do they pay off the high hand jackpot if you are in a sng? that would be a nice little bonus.

congrats.

GeoffM 11-16-04 02:26 PM

No, I'm fairly certain they only pay off the ring games. What pissed me off was about a month ago I hit q to 8, and then someone beat me. Would have been worth $60. At SnGos, you can't even check what the high hand if memory serves me correctly.

Kidd7138 11-16-04 07:54 PM

Funny thing is, I've been beaten in omaha with a A-5 flush by the 3-7 flush.

nutbag 11-16-04 11:33 PM

Same thing happened to me, my 23 beaten by 78, good thing it was limit(and i had to split A2 low).

Tilter 11-17-04 04:09 PM

nice hand dude.
