HSP: Ivey vs. Dwan...

I guess I missed this season when it first aired, but am catching repeats of it now. Anyhoo, take a look at this insane hand:

I'd love to know Phil's thought process throughout the hand. Clearly he suspects his hand is good on the river, but I wonder where he thought he was at on the turn and why he didn't semi-bluff then if he knew he was going to seriously consider calling on the river. Maybe he didn't think his hand was good until after Dwan's river bet.

I don't know... but this is a pretty amazing hand to watch. I mean, can you even imagine if Ivey have called???

Two things:
Tom Dwan has balls (and a fairly decent poker face).
Phil Ivey is really, really good at poker.

That show is so good. And that hand was really cool to watch.

I love the video title... cause Durrrr totally pwnd him. Lol. XD

Kinda surprised Ivey, knowing Dwan, didn't stick in 150k on the flop. But the stacks are sooo fucking deep. This entire hand is well over my head. I wanna hear some input.

Edit : first line is sarcasm. obv.

Sure looks like a case of Ivey being unsure of what Durrrr has, but Durrrr knows exactly the kind of hand Ivey has.

To TP: this looks like a bad place to semibluff with only 1 card to come (no made hand and knowing he has to fold a 12 out draw if Durrrr shoves over the top), and they're too deep on the flop to consider it.

Well, it wouldn't be a bet/fold on the turn... if he raised, he'd be committing himself to the hand.

(I'm saying this from memory, not remembering exact stacks)

god that is insane. there's too much to type about that hand, but that river bet changed everything, polarizing his range SOOO much. I would have just loved to see Ivey call there obv. Board just went so bad for Ivey, and god Durr is seriously amazing. Ivey's play I completely understand, even the wanting to call the river part after that river bet, but Durr's play makes almost no sense to me which is why he's so damn good
