33% RakeBack at Cake Poker...

Similar to the deal I set up with to offer you guys , I've worked out a deal with now too. 33% is the maximum amount of rakeback that Cake Poker will allow their affiliates to give their players, so that's what you get!

Unlike the Full Tilt deal where I have to do all the rakeback payments manually myself, at the end of the month Cake Poker will put your rakeback directly into your player account.

Here are the details, straight from Cake Poker's affiliate manager:

So there you have it. I haven't played on Cake Poker myself yet, but reputable sources are saying it's a good site with very bad players, so I'm looking forward to trying it out. I don't think it's supported yet, but hopefully it will be soon.

So, to start getting rakeback on Cake Poker, simple follow to their site and download their software. After that, everything else will be taken care of automatically. You shouldn't NEED to, but if you are asked for a bonus code, use TPF - this will ensure that you are eligible for the 100% deposit bonus up to $500.

If i receive money p2p am i still eligible to receive the rake back?

Talking Poker 08-01-07 01:01 PM

I have no idea. I would guess that you would be able to though, assuming you sign up through my link. I mean, regardless of how you "deposited," you'll still be generating rake when you play.

left68wing 08-01-07 02:16 PM

So, am I fucked if I already have an account here? Don't think I've deposited yet.

Talking Poker 08-01-07 02:32 PM

Well, your existing account is obviously not linked to me, so I can't get you rakeback there. I don't know what their policy is about making new accounts, but since you never deposited, you might be able to close the old account and make a new one.

You could have the best screen name ever

I thought of this AFTER I signed up with Cake Poker, but someone else could do it.

They have human charaters for avatars. Pick one of the "attractive" young ladies and sign up with the screen name "I'm a dude".

I would have if I had thought of it sooner.

enjoy

Does the software work on apple computers?

Talking Poker 08-01-07 06:23 PM

I did a little digging and found this post on the PT Forums from PT Pat:

Cake HHs can be written to your HD now, so in time (hopefully soon), you should be able to import them all.

Some people have also messed with writing Cake --> Stars HH converters, as I guess the HH formats are very similar. The ones I found were buggy at best though, so I'll probably just wait for the PT Update.

Does this mean you accumulate rake on every hand? Not just the hands you win?

juiCe[3x] 08-01-07 10:11 PM

Every hand you're dealt into.

Talking Poker 08-01-07 11:06 PM

Yes, this is standard pretty much everywhere - including Full Tilt, where you have been getting RB for months. :)

If $1 is raked and 5 players were dealt into the hand, each player is considered to have contributed 20 cents to the rake, whether they folded preflop or won the pot.

Reel Deal 08-01-07 11:45 PM

Just signed up... giving it a spin right now.

Edit: software reminds me of Pokerroom, HHs remind me of Titan (which is bad), players remind me of Titan (which is good)

Edit #2: if anyone can figure out how to do a player search, please let me know. Thx.

de-coder 08-02-07 07:53 AM

Cake lets you change you player name once per week - searches might not be as useful as you think.

de-coder 08-02-07 07:53 AM

I knew that's how they did the points, but I didn't know that was rake as well... learn something new every day.

Reel Deal 08-02-07 10:05 AM

Well, that sucks.

stormswa 08-02-07 10:46 AM

note one cake poker,

I signed up for this site awhile ago, they recently shut down and reopened I believe so if you signed up awhile ago you can still get linked to TP link. At least thats what I did and I got signed up under the TP link with no problem.

Invigilator 08-02-07 10:48 AM

That would be a bit of a problem for PT purposes I would think.

Talking Poker 08-02-07 10:49 AM

Do you guys really think the fish are going to be wise enough to change their screen names regularly? I don't.

de-coder 08-02-07 12:45 PM

It definitely reduces the datamining possibilities.

de-coder 08-02-07 12:51 PM

That's a good question. I suppose it wouldn't take too long to figure that out - provided PT will import the histories.

I would think a lot of fish would change their names for 2 reasons:
1) because they can and would think it's cool - not because they are aware they're fish
2) because TP, Mayhem, sjay and JD will be showing up at their tables so often they become paranoid :D

I remember one guy I was chasing around for 3 hours. I was on very table he was on and I kept following him as he moved. Eventually he asked why I was following him everywhere - I told him that I thought he was following me! He said he wasn't... lol - I miss that guy...

Got my first Cake rakeback today... woot!

lightfungus 09-13-07 01:14 AM

I just realized you can keep track of exactly how much rakeback you have so far. Thats badass. And all the silly little promos are kinda fun.

Reel Deal 09-13-07 01:24 AM

And all the retarded fish are even more fun...

I put $200 on this site on August 2nd and have run that up to over $1200 now. Thank you TP!

Talking Poker 09-13-07 01:44 AM

Glad you guys have been killing it! I too like the fact that the RB is totally automatic (I don't have to do anything) and you can see how much you've earned at any time...

lightfungus 09-13-07 02:37 AM

I guess there are more fish than at Stars (not saying much) but I really haven't run into any spectacular fishing yet...am I missing something?
