online sports gambling

Im getting into this locally with a bookie but would like to venture online. Just wondering which sites are best for this. Do any offer a free bet or bonus for sign up? I have no idea how they work but i know how to place my bets where.lol. any help appreciated. If they have affiliate type stuff let me know and i will sign up under one of you bettors.

This was kinda covered in another thread a bit:

Almost every on-line book will give you a bonus to sign up, you have to rollover your money before withdrawing, meaning if you deposit $500 and get a $50 bonus you have to make $1100 in bets before you can withdraw or you lose the bonus money, some place make you rollove 5x or $2750 in bets. This is not as hard as it seems. Avoid places that make you wait 30 days before you withdraw simply because just like poker sites it is good to take advantage of the bonus money various places offer, along with shopping for a better line, if you had Houston +3 last night like I did you sure would have liked to shop around for +3.5 which I hear was available in some places. In that previous thread I listed good solid books to deal with, right now BetJamaica is my favorite for ease of use and customer service, something you should want if your new to the off-shore wagering. Their site is easy to use and support is lightning fast.

Let me know if I can help at all, would be glad to.

hey

when you posted the list is CRIS~betcris.com. I have heard of this a few times. Is it one of the 5-6 you use. and also why do you use more than one. Im interested in the sports bc i have turned 7 $5 parlays into 700 this season. Just would like to try this. Also my dad is a bookie and he can get the inside scoops, if there is such, for me. I just cant place bets with him bc he is ny dad and im 22. I dont know how well that would go over. He has already told me that Online poker can not be beat. I have showed him checkstubs that prove otherwise. Also could you PM me with taht forum for a referral. or email me at

It is Betcris.com and no I am not currently using them, no problem with them as they are a rock solid book, just have money spread out enough already. The reason to have several books is because you want to be able to shop around for lines, especially in Baseball season, why lay -140 on a team if someone else is offering -125, it's all about getting the best price. I will PM you with the other forum, and again I am not the owner nor do I get anything from referrals on that site, but the owner is a solid guy and you won't be sorry if you check them out.

once you have won a bet on betjamaica, how long does it take for the winnings to go back to your account?

bigjohnstud2o 11-24-04 02:15 AM

ok call me stupid

But is there a site, or can you tell me, what all of the numbers mean. I know the basics like pt spread and O/U. But thats about it. Also betcris.com is holding a freeroll poker trny on ACR. Top 10 in trny get staked accts on betcris.com. 10th is 300$. If i remember correctly 1st is 2800$

I seem to make more money with my bookie than i do online. I haven't figured out why that is. It could be that i bet games i would not normally if i had to call a guy up.

Penguinfan 11-24-04 01:27 PM

The money is back in your sportsbook account as soon as the game is graded, usually less than 5 minutes after it is over. The only exception is if it is a very late west coast game or Hawaii is playing at home, the wagering dept usually close at 11:00 est and those games get graded first thing in the morning. As far as getting the money from your BetJamaica account to your Neteller account, it took less than an hour for me, I have yet to see how long a check takes if you want the money that way, however just before I came to the board I requested a check by Fedex from another book I use because I hit a few nice wagers there in the last few days, I'll let you know how that goes. They promise less than 5 days total.......

Penguinfan 11-24-04 01:32 PM

If you can be a bit more specfic I am sure I can answer anything you need clarification on, there aren't many bets I haven't lost in my time offshore.

When you get into betting on something called a "Pleaser" you are officially a lost cause.

omahilo 11-24-04 02:27 PM

Okay thanks Penguinfan, yeah last night I took the over on the Sac/Hou game and hit it, I was wondering how it worked because I know they had no problem clearing a losing bet as fast as it happened lol. Lets us know how long it takes for you to get your check too.

bigjohnstud2o 11-25-04 04:11 AM

hey

i was talking about when you said something about a baseball bet at like -120 or -140. what the hell is that

Penguinfan 11-25-04 02:46 PM

You are farmiliar with betting on football so let's say you bet $100 on Indianapolis today at -9.5 and you lose, you owe the bookie $110 because of the juice, thats the standard everywhere and that is what is know as -110. When you bet on a sport that does not have a point spread like baseball then they adjust the juice accordingly, usually based on the pitching matchup. For example Roger Clemens may be a -230 favorite on any given start which means instead of laying -110 to win 100 you would have to lay $230 to win $100, but you are getting the superior pitcher. On the other end of that is betting on the team Clemens is pitching against, they would be a +200 underdog (or thereabouts depending on the book) meaning you would lay $100 and win $200 if you team wins. When you bet on the favorite the number is -something, when you bet on the underdog the number is +something. Hope that helps.

ty for the help

that makes much more sense now. So all of the 100 and above numbers are based on 100$ bets?

bigjohnstud2o 11-26-04 01:53 AM

what are minimums?

im looking on the sites to try and find it. On cris i can not find minumum bets? JW im looking to make $25-$50 bets on games. Is that above the minimum?

Penguinfan 11-26-04 01:10 PM

Generously above the minimum, most places are $5 min bets, you will have no trouble with 50-100 anywhere. These places cater to people like this.

omahilo 11-26-04 02:48 PM

I think Betjamaica's min is $2 I saw... this site is really good.

Penguinfan 11-26-04 03:14 PM

BetJamaica is a VERY SOLID book, definatly should be one of your outs. If you are signing up there I would appreciate the referral, PM me if thats the case, that goes for anyone.

omahilo 11-26-04 08:05 PM

yeah I suggest betjamaica as well... the site is very clear on what you bet, you can clearly see your bets, etc and you get your payouts quickly.
