Suggestion for a new section

I was thinking today that maybe we could add some sort of classifieds section here. somewhere you can list something you have that you want to sell, or post what you're looking for. i know i have a few things lying around the house i wouldn't mind getting rid of, and i also would feel more comfortable buying from forum members than just buying off some random person on the internet.

just a thought...anyone else think this would be cool?

yes

i think this is a great idea. By the way i have Phil's Play Poker Like the Pro's book for sale since im recieving my 2nd copy. Any interested just post. I love the idea of like a "Yard Sale" type section.

I'm thinking one thing....

E-BAY

yeah, i think either ebay or craigslist is the place for stuff like that. it is all pretty damn safe and secure, so i wouldnt worry about it too much.

i think that sticking to poker here is key. plus, how many people here will be trying to sell their copies of play poker by the pros? seems like everyone has it, and everyone wants to get rid of it.

hmmmmmmmm

i just said that bc i have 2 copies that i purchased.

I was thinking the same thing.

i dunno i was kinda thinking this is a better way to sell things that might get overlooked by ebay, or just tough to sell based on the fact that a billion sellers are on ebay. for example buying a poker book at a discounted price or some chips that may be used but i trust the info given to me by a forum member (i.e. these chips are used but are in good condition) over some random ebay seller trying to dig a profit.

just a suggestion

I hear ya... but I doubt anyone on here can give a undercut the BILLION of sellers on eBay. When someone sells something, I feel like they want the most for it - that's simple economics. The structure of eBay is such that sellers have to keep setting lower prices to stay active. We all know that same person isn't selling Hellmuth's book for $19.99!

Good suggestion though - it's commonly seen on other forums.
