on the short stack

when im on the short stack the big players push me around alot i gotta stop this. is there anyway i can stopp them dead in there tracks?

culver boy 11-25-05 06:05 PM

not really, when on the short stack (it matters how short the stack is) you will get called with an all in most of the time. my tip is just to go all in with a great hand and hope for the best. it is all you can do

drizzel_121 11-25-05 08:16 PM

i agree

all in is my only choice its either all in or not not inbetween stuff risk taking on the short stack

iwinurmoney 11-25-05 09:17 PM

i dont think so, sucks when they do that! happens to me sometimes too!

The short stack is always at the mercy of the larger stacks at the table. The larger stacks will always be focused on knocking you out, so try to use that to your advantage (by doing things such as going all-in/betting a decent amount with a decent-good two pair for they will likely call with just a high pair)

lol

yea you can type in the chat box "hey big stacks please dont push me around"

what kind of stupid ass post is this, what a dumb freaking question no wonder your azz was banned. Sorry for launguage but this thread is sooo freaking stupid.

well when youre on the shortstack you will get pushed around a lot, the chip leaders will almost call every time to knock you out. the thing is the chip leaders will bet most of the time to make ur stack even shorter, but they dont have much of a hand. so if youre short stack, call most of the time.

Calling is rarely, if EVER, correct when you are truly the "short stack."

If you guys are a bunch of calling stations, then I can see how you would suck dick with a short stack.

It's not like I'm THAT used to it, but I think I play a short stack pretty damn well.

well to prove my point. i was just shortstacked when we went down to the final nine out of 45. i used my short stack skills and just finished the tourney in 1st place. i am not saying youre styles are wrong. its just mine works bettter for me.

Translation: You should raise or fold more than call, ESPECIALLY when you are the short stack.
