NFL Week 1

That sucked.

MAYHEM45 09-10-07 12:57 AM

No it didnt, DUCY?

Zybomb 09-10-07 02:57 AM

Sure did

juiCe[3x] 09-10-07 07:16 AM

I thought it was a pretty good week. Bears in sole position of last place

Kurn 09-10-07 12:00 PM

Week 1 looked good to me. No evidence at all to contradict my assertion that 31 NFL teams are playing for 2nd place.

Talking Poker 09-10-07 12:17 PM

The Eagles lost a game they should have won easily, but it's only one game. I'm just happy football is back!

GTDawg 09-10-07 01:27 PM

Harrington plays absolutely awful and Schaub leads the Texans to victory with a great pass?

Been expecting that for several months now...

Zybomb 09-12-07 02:32 PM

When you cheat it's pretty easy to get 1st place

Talking Poker 09-12-07 06:04 PM

Pretty sad that they resorted to that... I wonder how many years they have been cheating without getting caught.

Kurn 09-12-07 06:29 PM

Pretty much every ex-player suggested that everybody tries this stuff. Remember, they all get paid to win games.

Bill Parcells said it's no big deal. Don Shula said it's no big deal. In fact, Shula said if the opposing coach was able to steal his signals, it was a black mark on him (Shula) not the guy trying to steal the signs.

Now, if truth be told, why can't the defense use mikes and earpieces like the offense?

Tempest in a teapot. Winners win, losers whine.

Kurn 09-12-07 06:30 PM

If you honestly think the Pats are the only team doing this, I've got a bridge to sell you.:talktothehand

juiCe[3x] 09-12-07 10:06 PM

lol are you kidding? Packers sud have demolished them by then 2nd quarter... Should have been 14-0, 21-0 easily by the 2nd quarter.

Talking Poker 09-12-07 10:30 PM

I guess you were watching a different game. I mean, could the Eagles special teams hand the Packers any more points???

And I only saw the highlights!

juiCe[3x] 09-12-07 11:10 PM

Thats what i mean. Packers should have had 21-0 , 14-0 in the first quarter alone. Eagles played like shit and are lucky they were close. The only two drives that they had were when Al harris was out of the game and when he came back in Eagles scored I think a FG and thats all.

bigd007x 09-13-07 12:02 AM

i hope the bears coaching staff relizes the only way we are going to win is if rex bombs that ball.

Zybomb 09-13-07 01:14 AM

Im sorry that the Jets are the only reputable team left in the NFL :D

Reel Deal 09-13-07 01:19 AM

Nah, Jaguars are there too... but only because Del Rio is too stupid to figure out how to cheat.

Kurn 09-13-07 07:03 AM

Bottom line is that this sort of thing is why they went to electronic means for the offense. The owners have balked on the expense of doing the same thing for the defense, plus the competition committe like that O has the edge over D.

If this had been cameras and mikes in the opposing locker room, that would be an entirely different thing, but there can't be any expectation of privacy on the field during a game.

The Pats got caught breaking a rule. The league will penalize them. Fine. But the next team that gets caught will get a worse penalties, and that won't be right since the league has the power to create a level playing field that takes manual codes out of the equation.

Reel Deal 09-13-07 08:59 AM

^^ Agreed.
