Tilt swing

Why do I keep doing this to myself?

Been playing much worse last few days, after my insane sesh vs Eskobar I got into a rutt of playing everyone the same way I did him. Also I've been running pretty bad lately, not just the all-in-EV thing, but lately the last card I want to see seems to keep hitting the board and ruining my planned bluffs or thin VB's.

The red part of graph I circled probably caused most of the massive downswing that came after. I get it in way ahead and manage to lose, then I start playing dumb and autopilot horribly. All the sudden I check the bank account and am like wow down 45k, need to play good again. And luckily I do and thank god people haven't been hit and running me too bad. I'm not making it easy on myself last couple days.

Oh, here's the graph...

Red parts where I go down 15k when I should be up like 10k, bad play / tilt ensues until I finally get it together.

Thing is even your EV line is going below $0..... which isnt nice to see.

And jesus im envyous/slight feelings of hatred for you

well ya HU if theres anyone that ever never has their EV line below zero they're going to be richest person in the world. The only way to keep it psotive always is only bet hands when you are obviously ahead, and obv you can't do that. You'd Never get paid off when you bet and you'd lose every single hand you didn't make a strong hand with, so there's no possible way your EV line will always be positive unless u run like God forever.

I'm not sure I agree with that, at least as far as how I understand how it works.

I mean, sure, your EV line can't ALWAYS go up ALL THE TIME without ever going down, but I think over time, I'd much rather see it positive than negative. I mean, say you get it in good 3 times and bad once - the line will be positive... same for 300 out of 400, etc. I'm not saying you need to get it in good 400/400 times, but I would hope you're putting your money in good more often than you are putting it in bad, or else you are going to be a HUGE longterm loser.

Right?

Ya I know I didn't say it right, the principle behind it still still applies. Over time yes it should be up, but I mean session to session I guess alot depends on cards and reads and whatnot. You are right tho
