Talking Poker 02-01-08 12:29 PM

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

If you spent HALF time time you waste playing live playing online, you'd have five figure months EVERY month.

Right on Zybomb!! I wish I could have a 5 figure month! Someday oneday.:) Do you ever play the 100k games on Stars?

CalifNaughti 02-01-08 01:28 PM

Hey Reel :)
Im calling SPCA on ya for beating that dead horse!! :D ;)

Reel Deal 02-01-08 02:47 PM

Can you technically be cruel to something that's already dead?

Talking Poker 02-01-08 03:34 PM

Only if you have sex with it.

What? I'm being serious. That's the law.

Mr Eaton 02-01-08 03:52 PM

Yeah I saw it in Fletch.
Nice job Z.

I had a slightly above even month. If not for the last week I would have been up a bit. I was running SOOOO bad that I was actuality dealt a red 6 from a UNO deck.:D

Zybomb 02-29-08 03:20 AM

Im short of 5 figures for this month by $430. I normally don't play fridays but Im tempted to put a session in (especially because Ive been running fire this week 5 for 5) to top that 5 figures for the 2nd consecutive month but im not sure -- either way lets do itttttt!!

Daomonk 02-29-08 09:12 AM

damn nice job zybomb

Keep up the goot work

CalifNaughti 02-29-08 12:11 PM

I was wondering where you play at? Do you play exclusivly on one site like Stars or do you also play on FT? What are your average buyins? Fantastic job your doing! :)

Talking Poker 02-29-08 01:10 PM

Zy plays live.

If he played online, he'd have 5 figure weeks, but I guess it's too much trouble for him to sit at a computer in his underwear... he'd much rather play 10 times less hands per hour and triple rake at clubs where he risks being arrented or shot and killed.

Zybomb 02-29-08 03:41 PM

And has to tip

Edit: not arrested though, the players arent doing anything wrong, only dealers and floor are subject to arrest

Edit 2: Oh yea and I get gifts of QQ baby raising preflop then 3 betting a T96 board after I raise him, then firing the turn (2) and shoving the river (9). Hello $2200 pot

Zybomb 02-29-08 07:44 PM

To further cover this. I have $$ on both Tilt and Stars and play a bit -- mostly 6 max 2/4 NL Cash games, sometimes I'll get more into it than other months, but as TP mentioned the majority of my play comes live. I normally play in 10 Max 2/5 NL, 5/5 NL and 5/10 NL games. All of these games play larger live than they would online. 2/5 is a $1000 max buy, 5/5 is a $1500 max buy and 5/10 is a $3000 max buy. I normally buy in for $1000 at the 2/5 and 5/5 games and $1500-$2000 at the 5/10 games depending on the $$ on the table. Standard raises range from from $20-$40 in the 2/5 games $30-$50 in the 5/5 games and $40-$70 in the 5/10 game just to give you an idea. Straddling, Restraddling, Sleepers, etc are common and lots of people are just gambling

drewjax 02-29-08 07:47 PM

can you please esplain???

ima noob...obv..

Sleepers are blind bets made with an option from anywhere besides under the gun. If all players fold before you, your sleeper becomes "live" and it is treated like a straddle. If anyone calls or raises before the action gets to you, you take your sleeper back and it is treated as if nothing happened. For example if you are in 4th position you can put a sleeper of $10 out. If positions 1-3 all fold then your sleeper is treated as a normal straddle (you get an option at the end). If players 1-3 call or raise, you take your $10 back and all proceeds as normal. Normally a sleeper is placed by an opponent UTG +1 that way if UTG folds the straddle is on -- if you do it in 4th or 5th it becomes stupid because of the high liklihood of one fo the players b4 you calling or raising anyway
