Hubie Brown

After watching the Celtics game on espn last friday, I realized again just how great of an analyst Hubie Brown is.

I think he is honestly as good as it gets, in any sport.
He is great to listen to, whether you are Pshabi or a grandmother.

Who else do you love (and hate) to listen to when you are watching a sporting event?

Dan Dierdork tilts me

Football - Boomer Esiason
Baseball - Jerry Remy
Hoops - Tommy Heinsohn because he's hilarious when he berates the refs.

Hubie Brown is great. I've got a coaching video of his. He's got unbelievable knowledge, and he's a funny guy too.

I know A LOT of people absolutely despise the guy, but since I was a kid, I've always enjoyed Dick Vitale. He's a little over the top, yes, but....
1) Great enthusiasm obv
2) He knows the game very well
3) I really enjoy his anecdotes
4) He's genuine...it's not a show for TV, that's just him.

I'm a homer, but I really enjoy Len and Bob on Cubs home broadcasts. Not the greatest, but they're funny and I watch 100+ Cubs games/year so they've grown on me.

I hate the Cardinals announcer Joe Buck. He does some shit for Fox Baseball I believe too. What a douche.

When Bill Walton first started doing NBA games in the early 90s, I wanted to hunt him down and shoot him. He was TERRIBLE. He's gotten a lot better though. I can stand him.

Dierdorff sucks. Agreed.

There are a lot more that I don't like, but they don't come to mind right now.
