Bipartisan Tax Fairness and Simplification Act could Regulate Online Gambling...
 


Here is the bill:


The online gambling stuff is around Page 126: "Subtitle C—Internet Gambling Taxation and Regulation."

It's very unclear as to where this bill will go, if anywhere, but it's a start and I'm happy to see a bipartisan effort being made.

Hard to see whether or not this changes the way wins and losses are required to be reported. Hopefully, logic will prevail and reporting net as ordinary income will become the rule.

IMO, though, just another way for them to steal my my money and intrude on my privacy.

If this passes, I see less internet poker and more B&M poker in my future.
