post your poker ace hud layouts

basicly take screen shot of your pokerace hud layouts and post them here, also explain what all your number represent. Maybe we can all get ideas for how to make our own better.

ok yes this is because I can not figure what to do with mine and want some sneaky way to get idea's without going through video's. Think its a decent idea to have this thread anyway.

stormswa 04-28-07 11:42 AM

here is my new one I think I like.

ok here is what numbers mean, I dont color code mine because I dont need a green color to tell me vp$ip of 60.1 is bad. I got this layout from someone on 2+2 and added a stat of my own but I like it.

vp$ip
preflop raise
cold call preflop
aggression per street, flop, turn, river
went to showdown
and white is money won and number of hands, I added the money won but rest was someone elses layout.

JDMcNugent7 04-28-07 01:42 PM

mine doesnt work anymore
if theres action at the table, likecards being dealt, me pressing the call button, etc... the stats disapear, so basically they are flashing the whole time and its basically impossible to ever see them.

anyone know how i can fix it or what it would be?

MAYHEM45 04-28-07 01:59 PM

Turn on flicker free drawing.

stormswa 04-28-07 02:38 PM

yes

what he said.

come on kids get those screen shots up lets see your number placing abilities.

JDMcNugent7 04-28-07 04:14 PM

well now i got it to stop blinking, thanks
but is there a way to make it work for when i make the tables smaller?
it looks horrible, the stats are in the chat area and off the table and everything

stormswa 04-28-07 04:53 PM

not sure

look at mine, mine seem to work good. The only thing it blocks is the cards at showdown but of course pokerace hud shows me the hands anyway so it dont matter.

you can put the numbers wherever you want in your editor.

oh I know what you mean, when you tile them. Not sure about that, I only play like 4 max at a time so it dosent bother me .

Nikita 04-28-07 04:54 PM

I'm not playing at the moment and probably won't get a chance until later today. When I do, I will screenshot and post.

So my numbers are as follows:
VPIP/PFR/WtSD/Agg Freq tot/CB/Folds to CB
Fold to flop/turn/river bet/Net $ won/Tot Hands

I would still like to tweak mine as well, but I haven't thought of other good stats to add and I don't want to take away much of what I already have.

Talking Poker 04-28-07 08:45 PM

Are you using a really old version, by chance? I mean, did you update your software after Full Tilt made the resizeable tables? Cause if not, well, you obviously have to do that.

sjay2k 04-29-07 02:18 AM

ace hud?

Talking Poker 04-29-07 03:06 AM

You're kidding, right?

OK, surely you are kidding. Then again, you've never made us a video (jerk!), so maybe not...

Invigilator 04-29-07 11:14 PM

PS PAH numbers?

I am just learning to read this (free trial). I am assuming the numbers in the bottom right are mine, since there are none by my name? (Pokerstars)

I can't find any reference to the colour coding for reading the numbers

Talking Poker 04-29-07 11:20 PM

You need to set that all up yourself:
Options/Layout Manager

Pick the game you are playing and put whatever stats you want whereever you want them - yours too. Then color code them however you like too. Piece of cake.

Invigilator 04-30-07 08:23 AM

thanks

I have the day off today, so I'll give it a try.

Thanks

Robbie Robb 04-30-07 09:11 AM

I *think* with the default layout, the numbers in the bottom right are actually the table averages for the other players (does not include your numbers). If you want to show your numbers you need to go into the layout selection and for each number you want to see on yourself you need to select the 'show mine' option. I think, by default, it plops them in the middle of the screen then you have to move them where you want them. using the HyperSimple @ Stars I have the numbers up at the top where the "dealer" is.

Invigilator 04-30-07 10:10 AM

k

Thank you sir.

Nikita 04-30-07 10:42 AM

To add to this, in my screen shot, you can see my numbers are in the bottom right. I got rid of the table averages. I figured those number aren't necessary to see while I'm playing. I only look at those numbers just before I join a table.

sjay2k 04-30-07 04:55 PM

thanks i will definitely check it out when i come home and start playing again

HUD numbers advice

Okay, I figured out how to set it up. But... what numbers? Can you recommend a top 5-ish to help me figure out what will be useful.

I am guessing I want...

1. VPIP - this lets me know how often they are putting money in? (hands played?)

2. Preflop Raise

3. Post flop aggression
----------------------------------------------

but what else?

----------------------------------------------
also...

What is the difference between Bet Flop and Continuation Bet?

stormswa 05-01-07 06:30 PM

well

continuation bet is when someone bets preflop then leads flop.

betting flop is just that someone that just bets flop without betting preflop. so if you limped or cold called preflop then lead out flop.

as for numbers I said which ones I like but just mess around and see what you like. I dont use aggression factor because I have mine done by street.

Talking Poker 05-01-07 08:39 PM

Watch some people's videos - almost everyone explains their PAHud layouts early on.

A CB is when someone raises preflop and then leads at the flop. Bet Flop is any time someone bets the flop, regardless of the preflop action.

IMO, the three you listed are absolute must have numbers. I'd recommend starting small and then slowly adding additional stats to what you are already comfortable with - that way, it's easier to remember what you have set up and where it is on the screen. I also like to see how much $ a guy is up or down, the number of hands I have on him (this is another must, so you know what sample size you are dealing with). I use his CB%, and I see what % of the time he FOLDS to bets on each street - most people don't use this, but I like it. It fits my style. Street by street aggression is nice and something I probably should add. Oh, and I also have "Cold Calls Preflop" in there - this is an excellet one stop donkey indicator. And of course, I have pretty much everything color coded too.

I haven't shot a video with my layout for a long time. Maybe I'll do one soon. I did post some screen shots in this thread last week or so:

I am loving my card mods, btw.

Invigilator 05-01-07 10:12 PM

Thanks, I forgot about the video's. Once I get this all figured out (and am comfortable with it) I will have to learn how to shoot a video. (that way I can share my sultry "radio voice" with the forum)

Talking Poker 05-01-07 11:28 PM

There's not much to figure out. You simply need to be able to follow instructions:

stormswa 05-02-07 12:37 AM

I didnt want to post in the other thread since it wasnt active but I absolutley love the new card mods!!!! thanks.
