Stanley Cup Finals

WTF!!! There used to be CANADIANS on this board!!!

We have a great series here. People biting fingers, players being carried off on stretchers, a network analyst calling the Sedin Twins "Thelma and Louise" for their soft play (an insult to Thelma and Louise. IIRC, those characters actually fought back).

Come on, O north of the border folks. What do you think?

meanwhile, Boston is close doing something no other city has ever done: win the championship in all 4 major North American sports in a 7 year period. What do i have to do? Post a pic of the female Canucks fan who went to game 2 in Vancouver topless (great body paint job).

Bah! Time to go put on my "Lucic Fight Club" T-shirt and get ready for the game.

Go Bruins!!!

I think I speak for all Boston fans when I say:

A championship in each of the 4 major US sports in less than 6 1/2 years.

NO other sports city has done it. Not even close. NY's best is 21 years(could've done it in 5, had the Knicks prevailed over the Rockets in '94), Chicago's best is 24.

Not to mention that the Red Sox are hitting on all cylinders *and* Brady and Belichick cannot be pleased that they are now the Boston franchise with the longest drought.

How many cities have a sports team in all 4 major sports?

NY, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta (not now), Washington D.C., Dallas, Denver, and Phoenix (and LA when the Raiders/Cardinals were there). Minneapolis didn't have a hockey team for a decade, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, D.C. just got a team within the best 20 years in hockey/baseball.

Is it all that surprising that Boston was the first of the five left to get all four major sports championships within a time frame the quickest? I guess if you are a New Englander and have to celebrate because of how much the Red Sox sucked for 90 years.

That comment is so last century.
