So, the real question is... what you gonna spend that $17 on?

yeah cap NL is so lame. LOL what a retarded game. At 1/2 no less.

Talking Poker 01-25-08 03:09 AM

No shit. I've sat at them a few times by mistake. Never bothered to play until a couple of days ago, but now I will while I'm on other waiting lists. OMG - the players are HORRIBLE! Like, the worst ever. But you're right, you need to move up at least a level or two from what you are used to for it to be worthwhile.

Wes 01-25-08 04:03 AM

Yes, the players are awful at all stakes. But, I go insane if I lose 10 60/40s in arow, which happens a lot when shortstacking.

If you think they are bad now you should have played them a year ago. They were even worse then and it was like printing money. I played some cap a week ago but it isn't worth it to play for 60 bucks at a time now.

Talking Poker 01-25-08 01:00 PM

Right, so play higher. 2/4 is $120 at a time, right?

It is annoying and weird how you have to change your strategy. TP = ok, all in. No thought's behind how to play hands really.

I also screwed up one hand big time, before I realized it was a CAP table the other day. I basically let a guy get there trying to control the pot, when it was an obvious get it in on the flop situation, because of the CAP. We were already like halfway there. Ooops.

jillaj 01-25-08 01:13 PM

You have to play it like short stack poker. I used to be able to play it fairly well but it definately creates bad habits if you try to play a "cap" style in a regular 6-max game.

I only have a handful of 2/4 cap hands. I haven't really looked at the quality of players either but they can't be that great.
