Problem viewing in IE

Anyone else having any trouble accessing the forum in IE? Starting yesterday, at least for me, IE displays an error reading

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/mark/web/talkingpoker.com/forum/includes/functions.php on line 3625

atop the page.

Works fine in Mozilla.

I'll have vBulletin support take a look at it.

What version of IE are you running? (Help/About)

If it's not the latest version, please try upgrading. So far, no one is able to reproduce your error...

I primarily view this forum using IE 6.0. I'm running Windoze XP HE, updated up to but not including, Service Pack 2.

It might be a problem on your end.

if its fine in mozilla then there the problem lies with ie - id strongly reccomend everyone here to only use ie when they need to. IE is very good in that editors, toolbars and whatnot can be integrated with it so easily. But it makes a lot of other things integrate easily as well - mysearchnow anyone!

id use mozilla firefox or opera

that line refers to the copyright for the software - that is being displayed here so there shouldnt be any problem. It seems fine with me - might have been during an upgrade or when admin was messing around with something

I agree. I tended to have alot of problems with IE just freezing, closing, not working with certain sites, java errors etc..

I took a look at mozilla firefox and its fantastic. It seems very stable and it imports all your bookmarks from IE so no pain.

I like it too. The only drawback is for people like me, who developer web pages, Firefox doesn't interpret html the same as IE. Right or wrong, when 90% of your audience is using IE, you need to code with them in mind, ya know?

If you'd like to see an example of what I'm talking about, fire up both IE and Firefox and check out the spacing on this page:

i disagree with this very strongly:). As a web developer, its important to develop for all browsers. I check on at least 4 browsers that a design of a site is working. I browse with opera and mozilla and if a site doesnt design to these formats then i wont view it, its lazy programming in my opinion. Its similar to page width - you still shouldnt design a website that will have a horizontal scroll bar on a 800 pixel resolution - as there is still a huge % of the web which are on this. And losing that many visitors is just silly over something that can be avoided very easily.

It isnt that difficult - all you have to do is just dont use ie only tags.

It isnt a problem so much anymore - but say 5 years ago it was a big problem. Back then, before css etc, html code was about 80% standard. However the rest of the code which you could you use was wither netscape only or internet explorer only code. They soon realised that this wasnt good and both browsers starting to design them so that developers could use the other code - but there are still some ie only tages. eg <marquee>
