Poker Torrents...

For those of you who download bit torrents, there are number of good ones at Pirate Bay (search on poker in the tv category):

In particular, the American Poker Championship (the live Turning Stone event broadcast on Fox Sports earlier this year with Howard Lederer commentating). I'm enjoying it very much so far...

Ahh thanks, not seen many of the late poker shows this year, worth a download me thinks.

Thanks TP! Could you post a few more good torrent sites you frequent (or message them to me)? Suprnova.org looks like it's down for good *cries*.

I don't frequent many. Pirate Bay is pretty good. I downloaded Bit comet the other day, and it has a list of torrent sites built into it. Most are gone, but a few of the ones still there are decent...

Ok cool.

I use azureus, but have heard good things about Bit Comet. Well I've also heard good things bout this bit tornado... I'll just d/l it and take a look.

All my torrent sites look like they're dying and I'm getting worried :(.

They seem promising.

I have tried to download/play some of these (esp. the turning stone event), but I cant play it on my cpu. Windows media player wont support it, I tried VLC media player, still no luck. I know this is probably simple, but I could sit here and try for a decade and not figure it out. Anyone know what I can do to be able to see this. (torrent file I think its called???)
Thanks.

Well, once you download the torrent, you end up with some sort of playable file, right? Like an .avi or a mpg or something? Personally, I like the Core Media Player, but I'm not sure that's your problem.

drewjax 01-22-05 04:05 AM

the file is listed as american.poker.championship.vcd-t4p
Does anyone know what will allow me to play this file? Help, I'm a computer idiot!
