Matsuzaka-san wa Ichi-ban desu.

Sox kick some Yankee ass again.

hes giving up too many runs to be worth it. They won most of his starts because his team hit like the yankees should.

He's obviously facing better lineups than he did in Japan. However, what's encouraging is that he comes back out after a bad inning and gets it together and holds the line. I think its a little premature to judge the acquisition based upon his 1st pass through the best 2 lineups in the AL east (Yankees and Blue Jays).

I know a little bit of Japanes from studying Aikido, but Ichi-ban escapes me.

Ichi is "one", but what does that mean in the context of the sentence?

3rd in the league in Ks.

Anyone gives up 3-5 runs vs. the Yanks., best O in the league.

He did dominate the likes of KC.
