So last night I'm watching the pregame to the Celtics-Magic game 6, and they're doing keys to the game, and Magic Johnson says one key for the Celtics is "Nate Robinson has to have a big game tonight."

I'm like, WTF??? The guy's played what? 6 minutes the whole series? I say "Damn, Magic, better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt." Everybody watching with me cracks up.

Of course, Rondo gets nicked up in the 2nd, Nate comes in, scores 13 in 13 minutes including a couple of key 3s and is a factor in the win.

So much for my career as an NBA analyst. :donkey :p :confused:

There's nothing like making declarative statements related to sporting events. And, your friends never let you forget that shit, either.

I once proclaimed to my friends that it was ridiculous that the Braves traded Edgar Renteria for a nothing pitcher and a minor-league outfielder leaving a young arrogant Cuban to start at shortstop.

A few years later, Yunel Escobar and Jair Jurrjens are decent players.
