EPT Armed Robbery yesterday...

JDMcNugent7 03-07-10 03:33 PM

crazy, too bad the security guard has that guy and just lets go when the other guy comes running in. the robbers were pretty much screwed and end up getting away so easy

Talking Poker 03-07-10 05:02 PM

Yeah, not sure why he didn't PICK UP THE FREAKING GUN.

Robbie Robb 03-07-10 05:22 PM

Or...you know...since he had him a headlock snap his neck all Die Hard style. Maybe he knew the gun wasn't loaded.

a more recent report has about $260K US stolen.

Spuddy 03-07-10 06:48 PM

1. Why did no other security guards help?
2. Why didn't he rip off the facemask so the guys face was on camera?

Kurn 03-07-10 07:34 PM

Inside job?

Spuddy 03-07-10 07:48 PM

Pretty much what I was thinking.... I think it has inside written all over it....

JDMcNugent7 03-08-10 05:32 AM

i was thinking the same thing, and then like other people look pretty damn calm while it's all going on. i didnt even think about it being an inside job but the way it's handled and the way the security guard has him in headlock and then does nothing its almost just annoying to even watch. maybe it really is inside job, thatd be crazy

Most security guards are pretty inept. I'm all for conspiracies, but I doubt it here.

Talking Poker 03-08-10 08:13 PM

That guard was the only one to make an effort. If he was in on it, he certainly shouldn't have tackled the guy and held him in a headlock... just let him go.

Who knows how any of us would react in the heat of the moment... If I was there, I'd probably be on the the calm people just walking around and watching like nothing was going on (not realizing they were armed or how big of a deal it was). I certainly wouldn't be putting anyone in a headlock or picking up guns though.

I heard through the grapevine (haven't looked for a credible source) that these tools ate at the local McDonalds right before the robbery and there is security footage of them. Geniuses.
