Harrah's to get into the on-line poker industry?
|
I find this very, very interesting.
(Hopefully) It's only a matter of time until online poker (and possibly other forms of gambling) are legal in the U.S. Obviously Harrah's thinks that time is nearing, and they are positioning themselves to be ready to go when the day comes. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the big casino giants are ready to go within days of the legislation passing, allowing them to offer online games. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of them are ready right now. |
Very positive development
This would seem a clear indication that Harrah's is planning on making some kind of serious move into the online space. It seems like a no-brainer to try and leverage the power of the WSOP brand, the most recognizable in the industry. Be very interesting to see what happens next.

"Harrah's was looking at the possibility of launching a WSOP-branded online poker site."
-Harrah's is planning on making some kind of serious move into the online space- really? u need to learn how to read |
wat? ban this idiot for good pls.

This is interesting. Makes me wonder if a hybrid online/live game is coming soon? Casinos would obviously rather have you come there so that they can keep you there, but it could be interesting.

They already have electronic poker tables. You get your cards on your screen and the flop is on a big center screen
|
I know they have electronic tables. I'm wondering if these electronic tables will be connected to the online poker room to make a live/online hybrid game.

I think I read somewhere a couple of years back that MGM Grand already has the software written for an online poker site.

TBH, I didn't know 3 red dots of Rep was even possible until now.
