If you count Juron who was ousted in November, so far, 2 head coaches are gone this year. How many more?

At least 3 more to come in my opinion.

I would think less than most years, simply because there's no guarantee there will be a 2011 season (looking more like there won't be) and why sign someone to a multi-year contract in that case.

Head Coach in the NFL is a joke. They are the martyrs if a team isn't performing well. It's all what have you done for me lately and politics. If a team is doing shitty, the owner feels he needs to point the finger and shake things up in order to make the fans happy. The players rarely get held accountable. That's why I love Bill Parcells. He will cut anyone. Quincy Carter took them to the playoffs the year before and he cut him because he got caught up in some drug charges etc.. Not to say he was a great QB, but he did QB the previous years team that went to the playoffs and they didn't have anyone better (Bledsoe?) to take the helm.

Marty Shchottenheimer went 14-2 in 2006 and he gets fired in February 2007. WTF is that? I admit I believe it was due to a spat between him and the GM, but that justifies the politics I'm talking about. Wade Phillips (Cowboys HC) should have been fired last year, hot seat in all the media etc.. but the Cowboys are in the playoffs and he's winning lately so now I hear nothing about him being on the hot seat.

So..the Bills fired their whole coaching staff today, haha. If your QB options are Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Cletus the Slackjaw Yokel, your team is going to suck. But let's fire the whole coaching staff to make the fans buy tickets next year because it shows we are taking action. Martyrsss

And Gor, not sure how close you're following things, but even with the win over the Eagles, I've heard Wade is gone with a first round loss.
