PStars shows what you mucked???

I guess I don't look at hand histories enough to know this, but I just found out. Isn't that a little ridiculous? Someone mucks and you can click "Instant hand history" and it tells you what they have???

Anyone else not know this???

It's handy to know, and you'll be amazed how many people don't check. It is nice to know what they had. Granted that is only if you lost after a call on the river.

FWIW, FT does the same.

I actually didn't think there was anyone who DIDN'T know this.

In a live poker game, any player at the table can request to see their opponent's mucked cards after any showdown.

Why should it be different online?

i have a question. i remember in jamie golds wsop that friedman guy made a great call in final 2 tables on that blonde hippy looking kid and he asked to see the guys cards and he just threw it in the muck never showed him even thou he asked several times. in the wsop can u ask to see someones cards and if you do ask do they have to show you?

Gordogg 11-30-07 12:25 AM

It is considered unethical/rude to ask to see ones cards at showdown while playing live, unless you have good reason. Online it's not an issue, free info. Use that shit to your advantage.

hc422709 11-30-07 01:46 AM

What kind of "good reason" could you possibly have?

"I want to see his hole cards because I think he has a better hand than me" ???

But I actually didn't know, I always assumed it was FullTilt only.

Something else I didn't know about Casinos until my trip last weekend: Dealers can't tell you how much is in the pot. I've been to this casino a few times, but never had someone ask. Some old guy at our table asked and the dealer said that they're not even allowed to stack the chips because "That's giving odds".

Yeah as long as you keep the chips messed up, there aren't any odds in poker:rolleyes:.

The house can't/won't help you determine the odds by counting/stacking the pot. You can ask the dealer to spread the pot so you can do a quick calculation of how much is there.

Suspicion of collusion. That's why the rule exists.

FWIW, who cares if they can see what you mucked. Most of them won't be able to effectively use the information.

Invigilator 11-30-07 01:10 PM

True enough. I know I like to see what they mucked so that I can get a better sense of what they will call down with. I have foudn this VERY useful in 5CD.

Funny story relating to this....At the Taj this weekend, a player's bet was called on the river and he mucked his hand, the other player dragged the pot and wanted to see what the other guy had. The dealer OPENED THE MUCK and just started fishing through it. I was like WTF????

CalifNaughti 12-02-07 08:43 PM

Ive actually known this for aquite awhile but am amazed at the amount of people who don't know it. Especially when you tell them what thay had and it was no good. ;)
