how do you save your score?

Talking Poker 09-11-07 11:39 PM

I dunno... haven't tested this one yet. Was there no auto-submit?

Robbie Robb 09-11-07 11:46 PM

It saved my score but it's saving it the wrong way...

And then the 2nd time when I BEAT my time it said it wouldn't save it because my other score was "better". My second score was 137.

Talking Poker 09-12-07 12:24 AM

What do you mean it's saving "the wrong way?"

I played once and it didn't save my score.

Is the score just your time and the lower the better? If so, I can change it so they will sort properly (and save your lowest) at least.

Robbie Robb 09-12-07 10:38 AM

It appears that the score is the time and that, like regular minesweeper, the lower the better. I don't know of any other way you would score minesweeper other than time. So yeah, it should be sorting lowest to highest and save your lower scores.

I'm not sure why it didn't save your score unless you blew up and didn't clear the field.

Talking Poker 09-12-07 12:28 PM

No, I finished it. Then it went to a new screen and gave me a message about not being able to save my score... I dunno.

I changed the score sorting last night - Lower = better.

how do you win this game? I know you go though without blowing up but is there more to it then that? is there a strategy to open up the board?

Talking Poker 09-13-07 03:56 PM

Yes. Click on an empty space.

Robbie Robb 09-13-07 07:00 PM

I've employed MANY different strategies with success (on Windows Minesweeper that is - this one I tend to just randomly click until I open up some space).

I've started with the corners, 10 random clicks, divide the board in half and try to open up a spot in each half, straight down the middle, etc.

When I used to work overnights I would LITERALLY play hundreds of games of minesweeper each night. At one point I was dreaming about minesweeper patterns.
