This is something I just can't seem to understand as well and I have read a few definitions and several threads on the subject, but just don't quite get it.

Say I buy $50 of a BAP and it busts to zero, the guy doesn't cash at all in any tourney.

He now owes me $50 worth of cake (I think).

In a future BAP he states you may collect on past cake and I decide I am going to do that, what happens?

Do I now have $50 worth of that BAP (what if he doesn't cash again, does this go on forever?)

Or is it a case that IF HE PROFITS he pays back my $50 and thats it?

Man, I hate not being smart.

You're close, penguinfan. You have to invest in the guy again. Then if he profits, you get your stakeback, then your cake back then what's left of the profit is split. And you are right, if he busts again, he then owes you more cake.

Right, what Nik (funny, I still type "N1k") said.

Honestly, we could go through every possible scenario, but just read - the first post especially. You will HAVE to get it after that.

When figuring out how much cake to pay (or be paid) after a profiting investment, just remember to treat cake as added stakeback and then profit chop after that.

It's really very simple.

We need to put up our glossary as a sticky somewhere.
